basically a logic probe is a device used to examine the logic state at a certain point in a digital circuit.

Digital circuits are either high, low, or floating (meaning it's an open circuit). by simultaniously using a logic pulser with a logic probe you can pulse a particular point in a circuit and use the logic probe to tell what the logic state is. It's a helpful troubleshooting tool.
