Okay, HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT LORD OF THE RINGS DIDN'T FUCKING DESERVE ALL THOSE AWARDS??

Seriously, these movies were the definition of the word EPIC. These movies will GO DOWN IN HISTORY. For two years running at the Oscars, they have been overlooked. I mean, c'mon:

A BEAUTIFUL MIND BEAT FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING. That in and of itself was reason enough for Return of the King to sweep the awards tonight.

NOW, it's their turn. They deserved every single award they got. Now, if Elijah Wood would have won best actor? Nope. That would have been a travesty. Because BILL MURRAY deserved it. Sean Penn did phenomonal work in Mystic River, but we've seen that Sean Penn before. WE'VE NEVER SEEN this great of a performance by Bill Murray except for in his little parts in Wes Anderson's movies.

Basically, LotR needed to be recognized for three years of cinematic masterpiece. It was high time.
