As a matter of fact, I don't think the cops can do jack shit about the fighting as long as:
1) It stays on someone's private property
2) No drugs/alcohol/illegal shit is found, key word being found
3) If no one presses charges
However, if it was known that gambling was going on, then shit might hit the fan. But other than that, I think the publicizing idea is great.
