I think people spend way too much time online trying to fake being the person they think other people want them to be. On the other hand, I'm sure for some people being fake is better than being who they actually are.
At least when people are doing this in person it's much more difficult to fake the fact that they're not some a 18 year old cheerleader. Or at least they haven't been for 20 years. And if they can't pull that look off, I hope I never find out the truth.
