I got way too high last night, and watched The Abyss...for the first time, ever.
This movie mindfucked the shit out of me. I mean, fantastic movie, really, but watching it high was a totally different experience. The drowning scenes were fucking insane. I don't think I've ever felt more emotion watching people die/almost die in movies as I did last night.
If you have ever wanted to know what it's like to watch someone die in real life, or put yourself in the position of those dying, get high as fuck and watch this movie.
Oh, and watch the Director's Cut. A whole other subplot they had to cut for theatrical version is in it.
Seriously, what a great fucking movie. Fuck.
