The idea of changing names was recently proposed to me by a fellow Nubblier for reconsideration. Due to the fact that some fresh meat is looking at this board, and a lot of that fresh meat comes prepackaged with a vagina, perhaps it would be in the best interest of some of the Nubblies.com members to utilize a name change. The change would be a one-time only type of deal, and would be effective immediately. All previous posts would remain under the previous name (which would appear to be "unregistered"), while the new name could continue with titles/counts/everything else. Of course, most avid followers of Nubblies.com would recognize immediately who changed their name and what their new name was...so it would not affect much here. The real impact would be toward those who made poor name choices in the beginning. It could conceal identities from outsiders who can tied a Nubblies ID to a real person through personal knowledge. The change will simply supply the Nubblies Member with a new means to post without discretion or the fear of being bitched at by an outsider.

When the subject was considered near a month ago, I said that I was completely against it because a person should have to live with the image that they've created with themself...but it is a horse of a different color when you consider concealment of identities. Because of the importance of this situation (some members are kind of on "hold"...they fear posting about subjects that could make certain friends uneasy; thus, Nubblies is losing quality content), I will allow 24 hours for rebuttals. If no quality issues arise in this amount of time, I'll disclose the URL to the name change script and allow any member to use it as they see fit. Keep in mind that it will probably not help in hiding yourself from other Nubblies members, just outsiders...that's why I think it's a fair idea. Also, with that in mind, please only use the script if it is to hide your identity from outside sources. Changing your name if only a few people know your true identity (or if you've posted nothing that could offend people on the outside) is a terrible idea...as it'd only confuse the Nubblies.com community. I realize that some people will probably needlessly use this feature...but I think it's worth it for those who truly can utilize it.

Alright, so if you have any legitimate objections, go ahead and post them here. If in 24 hours, there are no posts with valid agruments, I'll go ahead and let the name change game begin.

Are you going to put up a link to the name change site pretty soon, or what's going on with that?

fellow nubbliers, i have walked the halls today and this chat forum is on everyones mind. I heard that people are getting friday schools in a certain computer class beacuse a teacher caught them on this sight (knowing about its vulgar and harsh but humorous contents) and reported it to the administration. I also have heard other stories, but i don't have proof that they are all true. I fear the outsiders are talking about it too much, i'm not proposing anything but curious what fellow nubbliers have to say.
