I've heard that the Administration at Warsaw High School has gotten wind of nubblies, and isn't too appreciative of it. From what I hear, it has been banned in Waldeck's room, and soon will be banned from the rest of the school. I heard that Sundown got really mad/sad or whatever when she read about what people had written about her. I sympathize for her a bit, but that's not the point here. The point is, nubblies could get a lot less posts without people posting at school. Also, if the administration takes a look at the site, it could be bad as well. Although they can't do anything about it, it probably isn't a good idea for them to see what is on the site. I would like to suggest that you must login before you are allowed to view any of the content on nubblies. Just a suggestion, but I think it could help on keeping subjects in nubblies, not out into the entire school, which is what some were afraid of.
|
Well, as of 2nd period today, it hadn't been banned in Waldeck's room. When did you hear this information?
|
About 10 minutes ago. I'm not sure of the source, just what I had heard.
|
fuck warsaw's administration in their collective cornhole. They can try to keep nubblies out of their halls, but they cannot keep nubblies out of the minds of the masses walking those halls. they are powerless against nubblies.
|
Yeah, they really can't do anything to stop us, unless they go to drastic measures.
Here's hoping that they don't go to drastic measures. |
The filtering on the school servers is incredibly weak, all blocked sites have to be added manually, there is no word or content filters. On some of the computers, I've seen people download ROMS, Mp3s and Warez, the machine I use daily had a massive bookmark list of porn sites that went unnoticed by myself and others... and the list goes on... anonymity is at a serious threat though... someone today during second period managed to track back from this site, or from someone they were near to my website, and then proceeded to register in my forums and attempt to promote Nubblies. My site does not offer the same sense of anonymity as this does, and I deleted the post simply because I really don't want there to be any affiliation between the two.
|
They cant do anything. Nothing in this site has any tie to the school. So therefor they can not order any names or anything, if they try, well I dont want to sound like a fag, but I am sure legal action can be taken.
|
fuck warsaw admin. They can lick my balls.
I hope they do read this, if they are reading this right now I'd like to say a big FUCK YOU to you. [This message has been edited by JohnnyRichter (edited November 14, 2002).] |
They could still block the domain... which would suck. Some of us would actually have to work. Even if the site got blocked, we could directly route to the site's IP address, or just get together a fund and buy a few more domain names to dance around the censors... they're dirt cheap these days.
|
Someone can just tell the Administration and Sundown to get over it...

I really don't see what the big deal about Nubblies is. Basically, Nubblies is a collection of what people talk about in a nice archieved format. It brings group A's conversation together with group B's and allows them to feed off of each other. In some instances, the conversations involve insults about some people; in some cases the conversations involve topics regarding the meaning of life, thus the diversity (and true fun) of the board. Stopping the posts @ Nubblies during school time would hurt it...but certainly not kill it, not by any means. Also...yeah, it's not like holding a forum to talk about things is illegal or anything...
On a sidenote, about whoever said something about them "request names," I don't know who any member is in real life...since you don't have to fill in a "name" to be registered :). Truly unfortunate for them if it ever did come down to that... |
Alright, Nubblies.com now goes to the login page...if you have your name/pass stored in cookies, it should take an extra 3 seconds or so to forward you to the boards...otherwise you'll have to enter in your username and password. New users will have to register...which isn't a bad thing. Upon registered, they'll have to agree to the new user agreement, which states:

I really doubt it... most people won't actually read it, and the odds that a disclaimer like that would hold up is unfortunately very unlikely.
I've been here only a few days... so it should be noted right from the start that my opinions are worth less those fucking Hardee Cookie certificates. ok... this site fucking rocks, the fact that there is finally a somewhat viable underground in this area is great... it's apparent though that this town, and our school is full of ultra-conservative gestapo monkeys that are out to annihilate everything that does not proclaim the sweet name of Jesus. People in this town are offended incredibly easily, and the girls at the school are pretty bad. it's also pretty damn obvious that freedom of speech is a joke around here, be it the GSA, a man club, nubblies.com, the school paper, the announcements, or anything else... the internet and the school have had run-ins before, a friend of mine had his geocities site effectively shut down by the school a couple of years ago, and recent rumors have stated that some girls caught wind of the poll, and are trying to seek some action against this site. This site and the people that use it must be protected if Nubblies is going to stay the way it should be. One major setback, and very possible thing that may occur would be having this site blocked through the school's blocking system, they have blocked sites such as theonion.com and the Altavista translator in the past, and could easily add nubblies to the list. I am sure there are plenty of ways around Novell Border Manager, but it would be a pain to go through... if for some reason things screw up, we could, depending how things are set up, get to the site directly from the IP address of the server, or a few decoy domains could be set up if one gets locked out. Also, the admins of this site should be on the lookout for access to this site on IP address 165.138.204.4 (and possibly several other IPs) after 2:45 PM as these would be coming from the school, and probably not coming from a student... Another major threat is having the identities of nubblies members revealed through one way or another. There are other sites run by people and students around warsaw (seraphim online w/ message board, corporate circus, snydz.com, s2quared, cobaltconnection, and a load of geocities crap that I don't know about) and for the most part, a name could easily be associated with someone using the site. For that reason, it probably would not be a bad idea to go proclaim the great name of nubblies on these sites, causing an association between a person and nubblies. Also, whoever spread the word to the girls about the poll deserves to be fucking raped prison gang style. I'll stop ranting now. [This message has been edited by victim (edited November 14, 2002).] |

Wow, that really was a great post. Very appreciated. And yes, your opinion very much matters.
On a sidenote...I still think that Nubblies.com being blocked from school is not really that bad of a thing. I just checked and just over 8% of all traffic to Nubblies comes from the school...which isn't really that much at all. Sure, it's very much more convenient when you can log on at school to see what's going on...but it's not absolutely necessary for Nubblies to have that kind of access. [This message has been edited by Orgazmo (edited November 14, 2002).] |
i have an idea..you probably won't like it but delete the shit about sundown and others. just to see how big of a deal it gets. if nothing happens put it back. it couldn't hurt..
i dont know maybe im a dumbass..its only my 5th post |
No fucking way man!
That's just letting them win. We can say whatever we want to in here, and there isn't shit that they can do to you guys. Don't fucking back down, stand-up to the cock-suckers (that's right Anson, I mean you). -Ugly Bastard |
You have probably seen us rip on tons of newbies tonight, well that is because they are taking the different approach you are taking. They are pciking fights from the start, well you firstly need to get friends on here, because if you dont, you have no chance of survival. So keep it up, but still, get some confidence.

To be honest, I've been toying with the idea of completely moving the hottest girl thread...
It started off alright because it was all compliments, but then it went downhill as certain people started to disagree with what others had to say...instead of simply voicing the positives of their choices, they went into the negatives of the other people's choices...which isn't good. I don't see it is "letting them win," more as "not letting us lose." I don't know...I think at the very least I could go through and edit out the really bad insults and shit... If most of the stuff was posted today I'd delete it without thinking twice about it...so I don't see why I should really keep that type of stuff around... Yeah, I just basically convinced myself to go edit that thread. |
I think that's a good idea to edit that stuff. It wasn't meant to screw people over or anything, but just as a cool message board. People outside this board shouldn't be bashed, especially not like Sundown did. The elite forum would be a completely different story, but then again, that's why it's elite, only certain people can get in. I think it was a good idea to make it so that you have to be registered with Nubblies, even to view. Also, nobody on here "knows" who anybody else is in "real life," therefore nobody can get in trouble for posting stuff, as long as names don't slip out. I only know who Trout Sniffer is, Orgazmo only knows who Orgazmo is, and so on. As long as names aren't mentioned to anybody, then it keeps it more of a secret. That is why names were not really supposed to be mentioned on here. Also, the school could not possibly shut down nubblies, the most they could do is ban it from inside the school. Which in this case, I wouldn't really advise finding a way around it, because if they took the time to ban it, they would take the time to issue friday schools, ban YOU from the internet, etc. I think compliments are cool, but not making people feel like shit just because of what you think about them. Which is the same reason there is no "gumpy" poll.
Last thing, quit giving out names of people on here, ESPECIALLY TO GIRLS! |
You're all gay, worrying about nothing!
So shut up! |
I think some people are blowing it out of proportion which is scaring the shit out of other people. However, we still do need to be cautious, because other people are looking at this message board, that's no rumor. Some of the people are the same people that have been talked about on here. I don't think there's a ton to worry about with the administration yet, but as for the girls, I don't think they should know who's who.
|
Ok... here's a few ideas I had while sitting here
-Keep the site at this location, yet go in and edit the page titles to something like CNN.com, Yahoo, or some other harmless thing, so when the page is minimized, it doesn't raise suspicion. It may also help keep things harder to find though the history. - Ctrl-H brings up the history, it only takes 5 seconds to destroy most of the evidence, there are other ways to prove you were here, but they aren't that smart, and chances are won't look that hard. -Change the color scheme on a regular basis, right now, the black and yellow can easily be spotted from across the room. If I'm not mistaken, there are plugins for forums that will allow for random schemes, or user defined/selected schemes. -Do not eat the beef bacon burger, it is not beef, bacon, or burger. |
Victim, you're a gay fuck.
|
I don't think that will do very much at all. If the school cared, they would probably check the log before they would check your own computer. They monitor everything that goes through the school's network. If you're logged on, no matter where, they can tell where you've been and pretty much anything else that you have done on the computer. Changing all of that wouldn't do anything.
