I thought this would make an interesting thread, its something we've been talking about somewhat in my Sociology class. Just tell us a little about your phobia(s), and why you think you might have it.

I personally have a fear of needles or more specifically shots. When I was about 6 years old one of my cats had bit me. The cat that week was acting extremely strange, and my parents feared it had rabi's. They decided to put the cat to sleep, and since I had been bitten by the cat had to go through with a series of rabi's shots.

From what I remember I got approx. 5 shots or some sort of pokes in the bitten finger. I got 1 shot in each arm, 1 in each thigh, and 1 in my ass.

Because of the trauma associated with losing one of my favorite pets, which btw ended up negative, and getting all of these shots at once at such a young age, I now have a hard time dealing with needles/shots.

wow. i'm scared of knives and lighters... and people touching my neck, or acting like they're choking me..

i'm not so sure why i'm scared of knives... they're just.. sharp and stuff..

i'm scared of lighters because about a year ago, one of my guy friends was being an idiot and flicking a lighter in my face... after doing it about a gazillion times, he finally ended up burning a little chunk out of my chin.. it hurt like a beast.

finally, i'm scared of people touching my neck cuz....... well actually i'm not positive, cuz i don't remember, but my mom seems to believe that somebody tried to choke me when i was little..

i also have a fear of not finding THE ONE. i know it's a dumb fear.. but honestly. what else am i supposed to think if my mom has been divorced three times and is currently single, my brother didn't get married until he was like, 35, and he's completely unhappy and his wife cheats on him, and my sister's a lesbian. yeah. there isn't much hope for me. suck.

i'm claustrophobic ...like if i was put in a little box and couldn't move my arms, legs or neck--i'd probably freak out and die of a heart attack

Hey, I understand ya, underwater. Fearing not finding someone in this world is the strongest one of the few fears I've got.

I am afraid of fish.. but only when I am in a body of water with them.

I'm afraid of bugs that fly around and sting people, like wasps and bees. I'm also afraid of ticks.

I have a fear of heights. I hate being up on high things.

I have a fear of females....The are scary blood sucking creatures!!!!

Sometimes I call my penis "blood" too. Interesting.

I don't have many fears, the ones I do include: Frogs (or generally any type of uncaged lizard...just not a big fan), Ladybugs (I hate these motherfuckers)...yeah, that's basically it.

As do I, but i was refering to blood as money!!! When i win the lottery i wont have to worry about any of that...all the hot chicks will want me...until then ill just settle for making love to my playstation and sportscenter...at least they wont cheat on me and if they take my money i can use them anytime i need them!!

Fuck spiders, they're just ugly looking as hell. Thats my phobia.

When it comes to whatever scares me the most though, I'd have to say dying without a purpose. Never accomplishing anything and becoming another name on a piece of stone.

Fucking spiders are crazy as hell dudes. They are fucking scary as hell.

spiders don't scare me THAT much... unless they jump and shit... then it's scary.... cuz you can at least run away from a non-jumping spider.. but if they jump.. yeah. you don't know WHERE the hell the little bitches are...

Leeches and ticks. Anything that sucks my blood doesn't fly with me. I also hate seaweeds. When I go swimming, I hate that weird shit rubbing against my feet.

Edit- I'm also afraid of being left behind. Not in the religous sense, but the relationship sense. It's all I've known, and it's also really fucking emo.

My biggest fear is losing a loved one in some sort of accident or murder or something like that.

I'm also not a big fan of ticks, not really scared of them, but I hate them.

ugly- I hate ladybugs too, but i love my newt, so there.

I'm scared of lakes and gas stations and walking alone at night. When I was really little we went to Lake Michigan and while we were swimming my mom told me a fish bit her toe, ever since then I have a hard time swimming in lakes, and if you do manage to get me in a lake, my legs are constantly moving.

and the other two.. yeah...

i'm scared of small spaces.
i'm scared of heights.
i'm damn scared of small spaces in high places. pretty dr. seuss of me, but hell, it's scary shit.
...and for some reason, trains scare the hell out of me too..

I'm absolutely terrified of mice.

And i'm not a huge fan of the dark either.
