As you can see, the affiliation upgrade has been done...meaning that you can now choose to affiliate with Pirates, Ninjas, or Homos...

Now, it's nice having the three categories and all...but I'm curious if anybody wants to add anything else. I mean, some people may not think that they're a pirate or a ninja...yet they like the opposite sex. Of course, this doesn't happen often...but I'm sure there are a few cases within this very board where none of the 3 options describe the person. For these occasions, I'm proposing the addition of other categories into the affiliation. Now, the extent of the additions are up to your folks. Hell, if you don't want any added, that's cool...but I wouldn't mind seeing at least a few new categories.

Potential additions include, but are not limited to: Zombies, Robots, and Bitches. We could even go crazy and add an assload of categories...so that everyone could feel like they're properly represented by their affiliation. Or...we could stay with the main three that we have right now. Which path would you like to see taken?

I would like to see a couple more categories. I would not like to see an asshole load of categories pop up though. I definatly think some of the suggestions you supplied are good. I like the robot one quite a bit. Yeah, nice work on getting everything basically running again.

I like the way it is now. If we add a ton more, it will take a way from the ongoing and building Pirate-Ninja debates we have on this site, and with each other in person.

My vote goes to the "Nay" side of things.

It definately needs to stay Ninja/Pirate. If you can't choose, then you're obviously a Homo. The only debate on here is between those two, and rightly so.

Of course, "yea" in this case simply means adding...not necessarily a set number.

I say it's an okay idea, but not the hundreds of different affiliations. That's what avatars are for. And we need to keep it small, since we need to at least let people form groups. I say add maybe two more, see how it works out, maybe work on it from there.

Sounds fair. I think that we all agree that, if we add at all, it should be small scale. The vote appears to say that additions would be generally welcome...so we must now decide what categories should be added.

There really isn't a maximum to add...but I'd like to see it kept to 3 or less...I guess it really depends on the number of valid new categories that people come up with. I can really only think of two valid additions off the top of my head: Robots & Mobsters.

If you guys can think of others that should replace these...or be added alongside these...go ahead and post. Also, if any of you happen to run across a nice black & white icon, similar to those for the pirate & ninja, that could be used to represent any of the new categories, feel free to post it here. If Titan could find his way back to the boards, I'm sure he could craft something purty for us.
