I think all Yeti games should be removed, they clearly contain a security flaw. all cheated scores should be destroyed.

All flash games have the same flaw. Yes, the jungle swing score of 3333 was clearly hacked. It probably should be removed. The 70000 in asteroids was a fake score as well. Should be deleted.

In my mind it really wasn't about second place. I just wanted to confirm that it worked on non-yeti games. I figured 70,000 would be far enough down not to do any harm while learning what I wanted to know. Had no idea you obliterated the previous high score by 40000 plus.

While I agree with the sentiment, I'm pretty sure there's no way to stop this. It's kinda gotta be an honor system type deal.

Gaz, it is only fair that my score for astroids and jungle swing be deleted. If those can be deleted, please do so. They are indeed fakes.

I had my niche of games I was good at and kept having to defend in order to stay within the top 3. I don't know who cheats and who doesn't. But the whole point of the arcade is to play the games and try to legitimately beat the scores of your fellow assholes, is it not? I don't see how its worth cheating. Legitimately playing the games is a waste of time and is silly enough as it is. Cheating during those games is even worse.

But it seems the era of the arcade is in its final death throes. What was once a bastion of sportsmanship and camaraderie is now a pathetic shell of it's former glory. Nothing but a cemetery of a past generation, now tarnished by the disrespect of the present generation.

Where do we go from here? Onward. The arcade as we know it is gone. What we must do now is reject the cold, impersonal form of competition that is the arcade and embrace the purity and honesty of the face-to-face competition.

Some may say that this has been done before at Nubblies Gatherings of yore. Those people would be correct, but only partially. What we need is standardized competitions that can be replicated easily to allow for Nubblites to play them many times over, possibly in rapid succession. We need to have official records of scores and a variety of games.

couple quick suggestions:

Beer pong
highscore on NES tetris (or any number of games)

and pretty much anything else that can be played multiple times by multiple people and make us want to be assholes and beat eachother's scores.

I'm not smart enough to cheat, and officially obtained my goal today. I have 1 high score. It might seem small to you guys, but after all these years, I GOT ONE!!! Celebration going on tonight!
