I heard about this site from Orgazmo and he walked steadily down the halls of WCHS, hand clutching sim_flex_x, during passing period. I remember our conversation started with me informing him, in a not-as-steady manner, that I had checked out a website of his that he had told me about. I don't even remember what the site was. My jubilation was quickly doused when Orgazmo dismissed my accomplishment by telling me that he has a new site now and that it is the site of his I should be inspecting. He informed me the new site was called Nubblies.com.
That was eight years ago. I have grown up and been through a whole hell of a lot since then, but one thing that has always been consistent throughout those eight years has been this website. Well, consistency isn't the best word one could use to describe Nubblies. It's had its high points, low points, server changes, domain name changes, database crashes and countless members come and go during my tenure, but for me, one way or the other, it's always been here. There's something quite theraputic about these forums. It's my last line of communication to the life I had before this one. Even though most of the characters from that life aren't participants on these forums, the ones I care about are, and that's good enough for me. When I got to college at Ball State, this website was more or less on its dying breath. I still remember the night in my freshman dorm room talking to Orgazmo on AIM. We made a pact, or at least I think we did, to bring this site back. I started messaging everyone I knew from Warsaw telling them, pleading with them, to get on Nubblies. I told them to join the site and just make 10 posts. After that, if they wanted to leave, they could. I even got the over-confident Libertarian from my Freshman English class who, at the age of 18, was running for Sheriff of his county to join the site. Today that over-confident Libertarian is one of my best friends, f3lix. A few people took me up on my 10 post challenge. Two of these few who still post here to this day are ninjaface and Shaw. Others who stuck around for a while were pliedes and Titan. While I'm not in touch with either of them anymore, they did something that would lead to others being a part of my life, others who are active participants on this site today, and for that I'm very thankful. They spraypainted "Nubblies.net" across an overpass in a prime spot on the campus of the University of Indiana. The first person to take initiative to visit the site and get to the bottom of how the paint made it onto the bridge was DJ FC, now known as George W. Bush. Through communication with FC, I learned that we shared a mutual friend who lived a couple doors down in my sophomore dorm. That friend would later literally:blonde become Mr. Blonde of Nubblies fame. Through Mr. Blonde and DJ FC, several others joined this site. Those who have stuck around to this day include Beebs, SittinOnDubs, DDTempest and THEINCREDIBLEdork. At some point, a bunch of faggots who like rolling around on the ground with sweaty men joined this site. The Repugnant Abomination and vaga1220 are really the last major evidence of this invasion of faggotry. I suppose it's not so bad having them around. And I'm not really how, but at some point ProfessorNumber and Dent showed up too. It's been fun spending the past eight years as a consistent participant of these forums. Watching this website and its revolving door of participants evolve is a part of my life I cherish. I believe, aside from myself, only Orgazmo, BigDongedHoe, and StabMaster Arson can lay claim to having been here all along. It took eight years of visiting this site on a near-daily basis in order to finally reach the pinnacle of 10,000 posts. The future is unknown, but I certainly would be delighted if I get to make another post of this variety at some point in the future, maybe in eight years, maybe sooner, maybe later, thanking everyone for being around and allowing me to post another 10,000. To Nubblies! |

I'd like to have a few more new members (we haven't really had any in a while), anybody interested in doing a Nubblies outreach to past members who are long gone?

Maybe if we didn't treat every new member to stick their head up like they were a pox-ridden leprous piece of shit a few more would post once in a while.
