Twitter

Anyone on here tweet with any regularity? I started tweeting aggressively a couple weeks ago just to see what I thought and I kind of like it. I find maintaining a blog to be somewhat challenging since you usually need at least like 250 words of something to say. That doesn't happen often, but coming up with like 20-30 words of something to say happens all the time and that's what Twitter is about. It's basically just a sexbox for the entire world. I like it and am having fun trying to build followers and find interesting people to follow.

I'm @cor yalbertson on there (only w/o the space between the r and the y). If anyone is interested in some suggestions of interesting people to follow, let me know and I'll post them as I find them. I hope you do the same.

Twitter is great because it forces people to get their point across fast and with no b.s. attached

Mr. Blonde 04-10-2011 09:26 PM

I have a twitter account, but without easy access to it from my phone, I don't ever use it. When I come back and have Twitter available to me always, I'll probably tweet more.

Saint DH 04-10-2011 09:41 PM

Pretty sure twitter is just a step below hardcore gay pornography on the homosexual scale.

Beebs 04-10-2011 09:43 PM

I'm @FollowBeebs

f3lix 04-10-2011 09:43 PM

I'm not surprised DH and Blonde don't use it, as they are not capable of condensing thoughts

Saint DH 04-10-2011 09:47 PM

I'm not really surprised f3lix likes it because of the reasons stated above.

DH, why don't you jump on board, considering you've been in the closet for 20-some years.

Saint DH 04-10-2011 09:52 PM

Please, you saw me spitting game at our hot ass waitress at Scottys. I was so close to tapping that ass.

"She" had an adam's apple AND you went into the women's restroom. Time to come out.

Mr. Blonde 04-10-2011 10:18 PM

Go Ask Alice!: Women with Adam's apples?

And yes F3lix, it takes a genius like you to have the ability to condense messages.

heurisdick 04-10-2011 10:38 PM

Nice timing. I created a Twitter account today. Before this thread was made.

SinisterKid 04-11-2011 06:41 AM

I also recently created a twitter account. My brother had one and was always telling me all the funny shit that Kenny Powers tweeted, so I jumped on board. I really like following news and sports sources, as well as comedians. I've found that I can read my twitter feed and get more information than ,say, skimming Google News. @blakebook

Even this all sounds very sensible and efficient, I'm resisting the trend to sign up on the ground that it still seems like something 12-year-old girls do. I acknowledge this is pretty dumb because there are still a lot of people not using facebook for the same reason, and they're missing out on a very effective communication tool. But I stick by my stubbornness. @ithinkyoureallqueers

I see what you did there.

Yea 12-year-old girls, Ocho Cinco, Tom Crean, Freakonomics, Norm Macdonald and millions of other funny, interesting, or smart people. I'm telling you, I was resistant too. But twitter is actually pretty entertaining. The luxury of creating an account this late in the game is the ability to kind of sneak in. I'm also way more selective about who follows me or who I follow on twitter than who I'm friends with on Facebook. #thekremlin #seethelight

twitter also has a practical use now; the feds and some state governments will be using twitter as an emergency notification system.

Kremlin, your life could depend on twitter.

thekremlin 04-11-2011 07:53 AM

I have issues with your use of the word "practical".

Norm Macdonald

This. Love his twitter. Always solid. As is Scott Van Pelt, or Trey Wingo. Twitter is solid cause now I can cyber stalk UB under the radar. Ahh shit.

angry pancake 04-11-2011 09:27 AM

Not interested in twitter at all. Rapidly losing interest in facebook.

DJ FC 04-11-2011 04:27 PM

Twitter is pretty lame.

But then again I've become 100% antisocial the last handful of years.

This and other interest updates (musicians and science, etc) are the only real reasons I can see myself getting into twitter. Otherwise I feel like it's kind of witty masturbation.

Cocktooth 04-11-2011 07:27 PM

Noooo, not you Blonde. Why would you be for something that the Majority of the people in the world are for? Color me shocked.

Mr. Blonde 04-11-2011 08:33 PM

Today I learned the majority of the people in the world (200 million) use Twitter.

Ugly Bastard 04-11-2011 08:44 PM

Oh he got you good Shaw! (10)
