FC,
Your 3,600 Bitcoins, did you get them all from mining or did you buy some as well? Any idea what your approx cost-basis per Bitcoin acquired is (factoring in investment made to mine them)? I'm just curious if you're up 1,000% or 10,000%. |

The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. But I should mean that every man should receive those papers and be capable of reading them. |

I think I averaged about $5 per bitcoin. So I guess just less than 5000%

Last sale at $232...
FC - are you selling to ensure profit? I'm only asking because I recall you referencing $10k per coin as where you thought it could go. If that was your thought, why sell at $100? |

I sell because bitcoins are too volatile and my investment in them is now so large.

Apparently there are copycat bitcoins out there? Other digital currencies? How does this affect the market and how would I go about selling my two bitcoins?

It'd be nice if you could break down a little what's going on for you right now. I mean not to sound too direct in the request but you just lost like half a million in a couple days. I'd love to know where your head is at if you don't mind sharing.

I lost over $300k in like 10 minutes I think. I wanted to vomit. The worst part was being in Montreal and not having access to my coins (I was trying very hard to sell at 250.)

I think there is a chance this could go up a decent amount (just guessing)...soon.
"Liberty Reserve" ... "Webmoney" and "Bictoin" are most widely used online for transactions between individuals selling things somewhat 'sketchy' or illegal things. Liberty Reserve was just shut down/seized (they were the most popular). |

Ya I agree. Liberty Reserve can be shut down, bitcoin can't. People will switch over to bitcoin.

the above link contains some emails from (supposedly) the creator of bitcoin...when he was developing... found when snooping around on the net. |
