There will be a euchre tournament this Saturday night. The location will not be disclosed at this time. If the person who will be hosting the tournament would like to tell everybody where it is, then he can do so on his own. Right now I believe we have room for just one more team as a team has dropped out.

It will cost $10 per team with the winner taking $60 and runner up taking $20. This should be a good night of euchre. I'm sure that the tournament will not be the only games going on and craps is definitely a possibility as well.

It will be a single elimination tournament with screw the dealer. If any of my information is wrong, please correct me.

i was told today that dino might be back by that night, so we are still a possibility. either way, i'll probably show up for some craps and what not.

Well BrassMonkees, I would suggest you find out very soon, because we are not going to wait on you. I believe once we know that another team will fill the spot, they're in.

Ok, we now have all 8 teams meaning that unless a team drops out, it's filled.

The teams in the drawing are:
Jeremy Lursen and Brooks Reed
Gaz and Kyle Burnett
Nick Bruick and John Antram
Kyle Demeter and Ross Wilhite
Matt Hammerdicks and Melvin Freels
Jared Kendall and Matt Palladino
Zach Woodward and UB
Brandon Yotter and Brandon Conley

The drawing will be on Saturday, May 10 at 7:00PM and the tournament will start immediately after. If you are not there by 7:00, you will forfeit your spot. If there is another team that wants in, they will take your place. If there is not another team, then the team that draws you will receive a bye if you have not shown up by the end of the drawing.

If you find out you are not able to make it, please get a hold of someone so that we can get a team to take your spot.

It should also be noted that entrance to the tournament is $10/team. The total pot will contain $80. The winning team of the tournament will receive a collective $60, while the 2nd place team will get $20.

I guess you already talked about the $10/team thing...but yeah, the pot, that's important. Win 2 games = you double your cash. Win 3 games = you sextuple your cash...

I checked with some people, and it's perfectly legal for you to write out checks to BDH and I by our Nubblies nicknames. We can sign it with either our nickname or real name. It doesn't matter, as long as both of us verify the transaction if approached later...however, I personally prefer cash...leave the check books at home please.

Results of the Euchre Tournament (someone correct me if I'm mistaken somewhere):

Yotter and Conley lost in the first round to Hammerdicks and Freels

Burnett and Gaz lost in the first round to Kendall and Palidino

Antram and Bruick lost in the first round to Wilhite and Demetter

Reed and Lursen lost in the first round to Albertson and Woodward

Hammerdicks and Freels lost in the second round to Wilhite and Demetter

Kendall and Palidino lost in the second round to Albertson and Woodward

Albertson and Woodward lost in the championship to Wilhite and Demetter

Wilhite/Demetter received $50 for their win, Albertson/Woodward received $10 for their effort.

Official Results of the Second Un-planned Tournament:

Bruick and Antram lost to Albertson and Woodward

Burnett and Gaz lost to Hammerdicks and Freels

Then, Hammerdicks and Freels lost to Albertson and Woodward in the championship of the second, shorter tournament.

Albertson and Woodward received $30 for the win, and Hammerdicks Freels received $10 for their effort.

Bruick & Antram lost to Melvin & Lank in the first round...and Demt & Wilhite beat Yotter & Conley...other than that, it's good.

Yeah, it really was a good time...even though my team failed miserably in both tournaments. Of course, a single game later got me back half of my cash...so it wasn't so bad. It's definitely a time that needs to be had again in the reasonably near future.

Huge thanks to Sir Reed for his hospitality & kindness. Without that, we probably would have had to put most of the $5 bet in each tournament toward drinks @ courthouse coffee so that they'd let us stay in their glorious establishment...err something.

Mi casa es su casa. It was another grand time. Lursen and myself played horribly all night long, but I ended up being even for the evening thanks to Boley and Burnett, both of which helped make me some money. Anytime you boys want to play, just let me know 1 or 2 days in advance and it can go down. Thanks to everyone who showed and had some fun.
