A month of bitching

Damnit, my roomate is going to be pissing and moaning about how Michigan got screwed out of the BCS championship game. He's not even that big of a Michigan fan. He just likes to bitch about things. I've heard him talk to at least three different poeple on the phone and bitch about it for great periods of time.

It cracks me up because, he acts like this affects his life greatly and goes on big tirades and everyone around him just thinks that he is an idiot. This often happens whenever opinions are brought up in regards to other sports stats as well. Whatever he doesn't like, sucks, and he'll argue it to the death regardless of how many facts you throw at him, it doesn't matter.

I'm glad Florida got it. I don't want to see a rematch for the national title, b/c if Michigan were to win, could one vouche for them being named national champion when it's 1-1?

BCS really just needs an 8 team playoff. It'd boost their ratings like crazy and would conclude around the same time as it does already.

I think Michigan would have a legit claim as national title, as the first game was in columbus, and was decided by 3 points whereas the second game would be a neutral site.

I thought Michigan should have got the nod, but they really can't complain, beat them the first time and its not an issue. They should have just called the winner of the game in Columbus the champ, because even if they lose the Florida, they still had a better season overall. Plus if OSU loses (doubtful) then you have Florida with a loss to LSU, OSU with a loss to Florida, and Michigan with a loss to OSU, how can you say one loss is better than the others? I would argue UM deserves it every bit as much as Florida in that case.

I'm biased as I am a Florida fan (which probably adds to the annoying-ness of his incessant bitching), and in all reality I think that Michigan would probably beat Florida if the two were to play each other. I can honestly see how Michigan deserves the nod, but I can also see it both ways. I'm happy Florida got it... but I by no way am expecting a victory.

It will be interesting to see if Florida makes it an interesting game and hopefully not a blowout ala USC vs Oklahoma two years ago.

Your roommate reminds me of Notre Dame fans, probably just because I know more of them than others, but people who come from Butt Fuck Egypt who support college football (as a religion) because they have no pro teams is sad to me. Grow up, your team didn't win, you didn't go to that school, if you didn't have money on the game why the fuck do you care so much?

The USC/Oklahoma game is a great example. OK had JUST lost and still got to play for the title. I certainly don't believe the 2nd best team in the country is one that lost their last game. If Michigan blew out their oppenents, then sure, give it to them. But they barely beat SEVERAL teams that are just pathetic. Their avg. margin of victory at HOME vs. mid-conference teams was 10 points. This does not scream 2nd in the nation to me.

HAHA thats funny...My roommate said this weekend that he HATES Michigan and he is a huge Michigan State fan. Now he is all pissed cause Michigan got screwed. Thats like if Purdue got screwed, I would be throwing a fucking party.
