Here's a fuckin how-de-do
|
It took me a couple days to decide what I wanted to make my 1000th post. I thought about various things like slamming everyone on this board, posting something really funny, or just making a memorable post.
Instead, I've decided to post a rant about stupid people. I fucking hate them. The ignorant ones are the worst. My roommate is one of these people. He is in an industry of idiots/losers who make a modest/decent living catering to the self-absorbed in television and film. They "wrap cable" for $350 a day. One might be amazed at how little these retards do for such money. Tonight, my smart-ass mouth went at one of these idiots, my roommate, during a drunken game where I had to sit and wait for him to make simple 2-second decisions in the amount of time it would take a 4-year-old to make them. He would literally take 2 minutes to decide what simple card combination to play, when there is only one logical play to make. To those who play poker, he's deciding whether to call or raise with the nuts. To the political, he's deciding whether or not to raise taxes briefly after being elected, knowing that the public will never remember that you did this during the next election cycle. To the college student, he's the guy who can't decide whether to go to class for the extra credit that would guarantee an "A" in the class or to just sleep in. I hate ignorance. I don't mind people who have a different opinion than me; in fact, I embrace them, because I can learn from them. Several of you on Nubblies fit into this category. A small few of you fit into the ignorant category, and I hate you. At the same time, I find myself continuously trying to point out your stupidity (which makes me just as stupid), only to find that, amazingly, you just never get it. The worst thing of all is that many of you vote. You fucks scare the shit out of me. You can't tell me the square root of 49 and can't identify with one logical plank that those you'll cast a vote for represent; but you'll vote. I would love for there to be an intelligence test that one must pass in order to vote in each election. Your IQ must be at LEAST 80. That isn't saying much, but at least those who would pass can be expected to put proper representation and responsible candidates into office. But it bums the shit out of me knowing that there are stupid fucks like my roommate who go into a voting booth and start pressing buttons. The same people who vote straight ticket and can't name 5 planks that are represented by the party they think they associate themselves with. I hate those of you who vote straight ticket, because you aren't voting for a candidate, you are voting for an idea, which is proven wrong with every congressional group that this country has ever had. For those of you that challenge me (G Dubs, Beebs, and your type) thank you. For those of you who have great insights on being a human (UB, Gaz, and your types) thank you. For those of you that make me laugh, becuase I can't take a damned thing you say seriously (ID, Repug, and the type) thank you. For those of you that make me want to kill you for never having a point besides your own unbackable opinion (Shaw and the type) fuck you. It's been four years since I was introduced to this site, when membership was less than half of what it is now. To see the wild swings in style and flair that has been shown on Nubblies, I appreciate all that I have read and been humored by. Thank you for letting me have (or me taking by force) the fantasy football title, which none of you stood a chance in winning. To the rest of you who have been living in the same state your entire life... get the fuck out of there and just experience a different place and lifestyle, it truly is amazing and eye-opening. To the rest of you, fuck you. |

Great post. The only thing about not letting stupid people vote that bothers me is, it would suck the art of appealing to dumbasses out of politics. If stupid people weren't allowed to vote, Republicans would never win any elections on their "abortion is evil" platform that I so dearly love listening to during campaigning season.

IQ != Ignorance
Some "stupid" people are very well-read and seem smart. Some very intelligent people are opinionated and stubborn. I'd like a test that measures responsibility: If you have a certain percentage of your anual income in savings and investments you can vote. If you live paycheck to paycheck you cannot. |

Please explain.
I was responding to this: Quote:
As for the income thing: it's somewhat of a joke. But it would still be a better test than an IQ test. | |
