This is pretty sweet. Basically they've catalogued many many different types of music, and you can type in one song/band name, and they will make a 'station' of sorts that plays music similar to the song/band you suggested. Try it out.

I agree, I like how it even keeps track of qualities that most people wouldn't care about.

For example, I managed to create a playlist that only plays East-Coast gangsta rap with emphasis on lyrics and not hooks.

So far, the only funny one is the white rapper that accidentally shot himself in the head with a pin gun. Other than that, it is pretty depressing.
