Go to the website and read about it yourself chimp. The system uses adapters that are attached to all of your items and then attach to the mat. The coolness factor of using magnetic induction or any other hip fucking way to transfer electricity does not change the fact that it functions exactly the same as a regular power strip.

You connect part A to your device, connect A with B on the POWER MAT 9000!! and it charges while connected.

I guess technically there are no wires, well except for the wires on half the adapters, so it truly is wireless electricity.
