Default "Technical Ecstacy" -Black Sabbath

Seems to be a new interest in all things Sabbath from the Ozzy days. Frankly, I don't get it. Don't get me wrong, I really liked Sabbath at one time and even thought Ozzy's first couple of solo albums were good. Looking back now I'm asking myself "what the fuck was I thinking." I think I know now.

It can be said that the first four albums are four of their best. Some will argue that the fifth -"Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" is right up their with the first four. Fewer will also lump "Sabotage" in there as well. Only a complete fucktard would say the last two albums were any good. Of the two, Technical Ecstacy, is the runanway winner for the worst piece of shit they ever did.

The album starts off with "back street kids" and it's a marginal song. Unfortunately, it's the best one on here. There's a Bill Ward sang "It's Alright" which immediately shows why he's not opened his mouth on the first 6 albums. Also sucking very badly is "She's Gone" it sounds amazing like a cross between Fleetwood Mac and a sick vulture. It's a piece of shit, but alarming similar to what Ozzy did later on in his post Rhodes solo career. All in All, this may be one of the worst albums I've ever owned. I have no idea how I have it now.

Fortunately, Black Sabbath would get rid of Ozzy and his whining ass vocals after the next album "Never Say Die" where an upcoming band called Van Halen opened for them on tour. Fortunately for Ozzy, er maybe somebody around Ozzy, noticed that VH was the direction music was headed and hooked him up with another Los Angeles area guitarist in Randy Rhodes. Let's face it, those early Ozzy albums aren't worth a shit if it wasn't for Rhodes and Ozzy acting like a drugged out ass.
