Finally sat down and watched this last night. I liked it a lot. I couldn't get the spanish subtitles to work on the DVD, which was annoying as I had to fucking translate what all of the spanish conversations meant to my gf.
Tommy Lee Jones was great in it. I could relate a lot to the film as I'm in a similar position (although I feel a lot better off than the agent in the movie). The agent in the movie is a very unlikeable character. I kinda laughed at all of the things he did throughout the film. When the shooting scene is played out, I immediately thought, "That fucking suuuuucks." As I could EASILY see a similar situation going down exactly like that in real life. The way it was handled after the fact was shitty, and I completely agree with TLJ's disgust of the situation. |

I watched In Bruges the other night. It was pretty good. Not great.
Basically, the first half hour sucked. Once it picked up, I liked it a lot, though. Funny and exciting at the same time. What's better than that? I DVR'd The Three Burials the other night, so it will be on the tv soon. |

Death Proof
I hated this movie. it was about a group of bitches talking about nothing for a long time, then there was a decent car chase, then they beat up Captain Ron. |

I think this is standard. I remember being completely underwhelmed at both of these movies. I have thought about giving both of these movies a second chance, as I went to see these movies already absolutely trashed as well as us taking in a fifth of rum. I wasn't particularly in the mood to watch a movie, let alone two. I remember liking the "commercials" better than I did the movies. | |

Four Christmases
Was totally expecting some corny/canned BS, but it actually proved to be quite hilarious and enjoyable. I mean, sure, Vince Vaughn plays the same character he does in every movie, but I thought his dialogue was particularly LOL-worthy in this one. |

Here's a fuckin how-de-do
|
I found Four Christmases to be another movie I'd pay $5 and not $10 to see. It was a B-/B in my book based on it being predictable for the majority. I really felt it opened horribly and that the first scene make entirely no sense in the movie's context. Afterwards, I talked about it with others and we agreed that it must have just been a funny idea and didn't have a movie for a home.
Secondly, the Santa-spoiler was quite disturbing to me. Many parents thrive on keeping Santa alive for as long as possible and this movie just plainly spitting out "Your dad is Santa" bothered me quite a bit. I didn't see any indication/warning to parents about this and having been with two children on the verge of not believing anymore, my eyes became frozen on the screen when he said that. Ugh... Boo. |

LOL F3lix you're going to make one annoyingly thorough dad someday.
Also, in the movie's defense, any kids young enough to believe in Santa shouldn't be seeing this movie anyway. |
