Just got done watching The Fall, which came out in 2006 but I guess got re-released on select theaters last year. I read about it on Filmdrunk but never got around to watching it until just now. I guess it was directed by the same guy who did The Cell, which really wasn't that bad of a movie besides the fact they even considered, let alone actually went through with casting Jennifer Yopez in the lead role. But all the visual shit with that movie...same same here, but better. Here are some stills:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Its kind of an epic tail about 6 adventurers (The Red Bandit, The Indian, Otta Benga the Ex-Slave, Luigi the Explosives Expert, Charles Darwin and The Mystic) who, due to some injustice to each one, have sworn a death oath against Governor Odius, the villain of the tale. It takes place being told by main character Roy, an injured man in a hospital in what looks to be the 1910's or 20's, to a young girl who has broken her arm and is also in the hospital, Alexandria. Think a modern-day Princess Bride (VERY similar in how the movie goes along, actually), but with a more sinister motive behind the story. Anyways, great fucking movie. Check it out for sure. |

I actually saw this movie in theaters when it was released. I think it was actually completed in 2006, but started much longer before that. It went to some film festival and Spike Jones saw it and slapped his name in correlation with it to get it to a limited release in America. Tarsem is the director and he is apparently painstakingly slow at making movies, this is only his second (the Cell was the first).
This movie is visually pretty stunning in a number of spots, just like the Cell. The casting is much better (Vince Vaugn as a serious cop = suuuuuuuck). The story gets pretty grim at some points, but that is mostly because its being told by a morphine addict to get the little girl to steal him drugs. |

The Good, the Bad, and the Weird.
Its a Korean Western set in the 1930s. Unfortunately there isn't a dubbed version available, but the action sequences and cinematography are pimptastic. You would think that an all Asian Western would seem off, but you really don't give it second thought after a couple minutes. Also this isn't to be confused with Sukiyaki Western Django. |

Watching it as we speak. What really put it over the edge for me is "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" by Santa Esmerelda playing in the background. It was on the kill bill soundtrack (also written 40 years ago originally by the Animals) and its pretty fucking appropriate to any western.

Was going to post a long review about Terminator Salvation, but lost my interest in providing it to you fuckos about 2 paragraphs in. It's just going to you leading to say it sucked or something and i'm an idiot for liking it anyways. I thought it was good, go see it, or, don't. Later fuckers.

After I went to see the wrestler I went into another store in the mall and overheard another guy telling his friend "what he has been up to" and it happened to be amateur wrestling, and his shtick was a WWI German. Its funny to think how many people like this are really out there doing the busch league wrestling circuit

I've come up with a basic template for the uniforms. Any constructive criticism is welcome.
Please don't open it at work or in public, I'd hate for someone to steal our designs. http://www.nubblies.net/forums/Photo...4303678843.jpg |

Old Boy. A South Korean revenge movie that came out about 3 years ago and got pretty high ratings. I have heard from lots of people to watch it but just recently got around to it. Pretty fucking insane movie, the last half hour is NUTS. Highly recommend.
Old.Boy.Dubbed.in. English Torrent - btjunkie link to torrent of a version dubbed in english, only part that sucks is when things are written in korean there are no subtitles. still, you don't miss much. |
