I just watched this. Definitely one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. It was pretty demoralizing actually. I mean, I think I used to believe that honest hard work is what gets you ahead in life, but more and more thanks to submersion in more of the "real world" and documentaries like this, I'm realizing that it isn't hard work, it's knowing the right people, kissing the right asses, and sometimes flat out cheating. People who do that are the people who get ahead. People who work hard are left to resort to things like telling themselves they'll go to heaven someday and that there they will live the good life. Definitely a fantastic, eye-opening and demoralizing but in a liberating sort of way type of film.

Definitely eye-opening. But it would have been just as effective if it were a 30 minute video imo.
Steroids aren't bad. Everyone that is anyone in sports does them. They don't make the man, they help the man. But you can't get to where the top guys are without them. Done. The Waxman clip was really something, though. |

My bad.
It should have been 31 minutes, and they could have also said, "Everyone cheats in everything if they can. Even Tiger Woods. He got Lasik. And some dude that won the tour de france sleeps in a cement tube and that's okay. And gayve takes beta blockers to help his tuba abilities. etc. et cetera eeet ceeet teeera". |

I do not take beta blockers pre-concert. I actually just take a shit right before anything that has my nerves unsettled. Used to do that before all big live poker tourneys.

Absolutely not.
Besides, professional musicians have ranked 2nd in most stressful jobs on the planet, behind vital organ surgeons. Our job is on the line EVERY second of EVERY performance. You screw up, you lose not only your job but customers who paid big money to hear something performed perfectly. In baseball, you're considered great if you bat 30% In basketball, you're considered great if you shoot 50% In football, you're considered great if you throw 75% In music, you don't have a job if you only hit 99% |

These lists are bogus and nobody can answer this question.
But I guarentee my job is more stressful than F3lix's. No way that's the 2nd most stressful job. |
![]() The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. Just got finished watching Moon.
![]() I'm sure some of you guys already saw it last year, but if you haven't yet...please do. It's really good. And it's nice to see some advanced AI that isn't evil for once. |

Got this from Netflix a couple weeks back, a very solid movie and a return to what science fiction movies are really supposed to be.

I like dirt.

Moon was great, but not what I was expecting from the trailer. It made it seem like the movie was a psychological thriller, while it was actually more of an art-house/social commentary film.
I had to watch An Education for work last week. It was really good. Much better than I expected it to be. Probably my favorite of the Best Picture nominees so far, though I haven't seen A Serious Man, Precious, or Up in the Air yet). |

Moon is definitely solid. The director is David Bowie's son, and it's his first feature length film, which is also cool.
---- Has anyone ever seen 'What the #$*! Do We (K)now!?' It's a documentary about human thought, conciousness, and all sorts of Quantum theories...and it's pretty awesome (if you can get past the parts with Marlee Matlin acting).
