What are the rules for reputation? Do people with higher reputation have a greater effect when dishing reputation out?

Uncapping the rep will allow for the true market to be in tact. Perhaps you have been held back by rep-taxing too long.

Guys, let's not all go turning into a bunch of homos here. It's a pretty simple request: 1 or 2 more opportunities to rep per 24 hours. I don't think this needs to be blown into more than it really is.

When is the point at which one's giving of internets actually equates to points, and not just neutral rep? Is having x amount of posts a prerequisite?

It takes into consideration post count, how long you've been a member, and how many internets you have.

As for as the actual formula...it's a trade secret.

It actually seems to be pretty advanced, and in real time. It seems that posrep seems to have less effect the more you give it out within a certain time period.
