Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing.

I think I watched the first two or three seasons of the wire...I'm sorry but it is a terrible show. Absolutely terrible. All about some niggers in Baltimore. Dexter is infinitely better than the wire. I wouldn't stop watching kiddie porn to put on the wire, but I'd stop having sex with a 14 year old to watch dexter.

Kind of like how Snakes on a Plane didn't take itself too seriously, thus knew their B-movie was what it was. The Event is similar in that isn't getting cooky and left-field like every episode. For these reasons, the show amuses me how bad it is and I watch it more for that reason than being addicted to it.

Pawn Stars is awesome.

![]() The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. But I should mean that every man should receive those papers and be capable of reading them. ![]() |

Has anyone been keeping up with this? Second season has gotten loads better. It's really not that dorky at all and relatively realistic. I would highly suggest checking it out if anyone has been looking for some decent scifi to watch. | |

I loved the Sopranos for a very long time. There are some extremely good episodes from season 1 to season 4. Some episodes are very weird, and I mean that in a very good way. I'm referring to the one where Tony almost dies, and while in a coma at the hospital, the episode is shown from inside Tony's comatose state as he goes through a near-death experience. It's quite "trippy" if you will, and it's one of my favorite episodes. By the time I got to season 5, however, I was kind of bored with it. I don't think I finished season 5 and I did not watch any of the final season.

I just finished the final episode of Sons of Anarchy season 3 and it was fuckin awesome! Each season has been better than the one before it and this one takes the cake. Especially since the whole storyline/location for the last six episodes takes the show to a whole new level.
It's about a biker gang in northern California, btw, so if that sounds silly (and it kinda is sometimes) go ahead and watch something else in your queue... but don't forget to stash this one for a rainy day. And Mr.Blonde, i could talk about Stargate for days (sg1 too) but i just don't feel like typing that much. |

Just to show some relief on the Nerdballer convention, I give you this gem from East Bound and Down. Probably can stop watching it after Ferrell isn't involved.

Boardwalk Empire. Steve Buschemi runs Atlantic City during Prohibition in the 1920's.
Season one just ended and i thought it was fantastic from start to finish. If you like both Mad Men and Sopranos then you will probably like this. |

Might sound odd. There was a game show of some sorts on the other day called "Baggage." Hosted by Jerry fucking Springer. Doesn't sound like much, but I'll be damned if it wasn't pretty funny trash tv.
