Reagan raised corporate taxes as a trade-off with a democratic congress to cut spending. The Democrats renegged. He was promised $2 in spending cuts for every $1 in increased taxes. Again, he fulfilled his end, the Dems did not.
Maybe tomorrow I will show you why capital investment is crucial to economic growth... |

Ok fuck it I'm bored. If you don't care about this then you'd probably be better off not reading any further.
Start with a production function. Y = K^a * N^1-a where Y = output; K = capital; N = Labor or Population; ^ indicates exponent; and 0 < a < 1. Because we are examining growth, we are more concerned with per-capita output rather than just output. Divide each side by N to get per-capita output. Y/N = (K^a * N^1-a / N = K^a * N^-a = (K/N)^a This is generally written as y = k^a, where y = Y/N and k = K/N Look what happens to output per laborer as the capital/labor ratio changes. You can see that output per laborer is positively affected by the capital/labor ratio. But we want to see how growth in output per laborer is affected by growth in the capital/labor ratio. In order to do this you will need to know some of the simple properties of logarithms and how to differentiate logarithms. So we have y = k^a, after differentiating with respect to T you get Δy/y = aΔk/k This says that growth in output per laborer is positively related to growth in the capital labor ratio. So now we need to find out what is happening to growth in the capital/labor ratio (Δk/k). Basically we need to do the same thing we just did for y. The result: Δk/k = ΔK/K - ΔN/N As you can see growth in the capital labor ratio, which is postively related to growth in per-capita income, is positively related to growth in capital and negatively related to growth in labor or population. The point is that growth in per-capita income, which is the best measure of a nation's standard of living, is positively related to the growth in the capital/labor ratio. This ratio increases as capital grows, and decreases as labor or population grows. When the government runs a deficit, capital investment decreases so ΔK/K gets smaller. Because the population is always increasing, ΔN/N is increasing. This means Δk/k is decreasing which means growth in per-capita income is decreasing. |

That's the last fucking post I'm going to make with economic models, equations and shit. Basically I'm a lonely little boy who has too much free time right now. Also, if you were to read and understand both of my long ass posts, you would see clearly why Obama's huge ass deficit is going to really hurt the nation. For Christ's sake he doubled the largest deficit ever in only two years.
As for the little triangles, copy and paste my friend. |

I like you Der Fuhrer, but it seems like you get off a bit on flaunting your major in college.

Not flaunting, and I really didn't want it to come off in that way. I just wanted to show proof as to why Obama's $1.75 trillion dollar deficit was a really bad thing. The only way I could think of to show such a claim in a factual form (as opposed to merely opinion) was to show the mathematical proofs. I am not trying to act like I know more than everyone, or that I am better than anyone. Der Fuhrer loves you, and I will be certain to not send you and your families to the concentration camps.
Although I suppose I sound like a bit of a hypocrite, since I also ran a rather large deficit. But come on, I was trying to conquer the world and exterminate the jewish population! |

I appreciate devils advocacy more than most, but posting a sentence or two accompanying an interesting scientific article is a tad different than posting thesis-grade diatribes. You can get your point across (in a serious manner) to an uneducated (in whatever field is in question) audience much easier by using layman's terms and relatable examples than abstract equations and advanced terminology. My main quarrel with Der Fuhrer's posts in this thread ("it's hard to take you serious") was his adherence to the personality of his gimmick account, which is fine for throwaways, not so much for serious posters. When I find myself bored or trying to get a laugh, I don't respond with a "You going to bark all day, little doggy, or are you going to bite?"
I'm simply saying I respect the knowledge, but i'd respect it a lot more (not that he cares, or should) if he used applicable knowledge rather than reciting what seems to be textbook examples a la that dbag in the bar from Good Will Hunting. |

Tell me how else I was to get my point across to a liberal minded audience, who not only voted for Obama, but would honestly choose him over Sarah Palin? How else was I to give irrefutable evidence backing my claims that Obama is a bad president? You didn't want to take my layman's claim of him being black and his family being black seriously, so I had to give you something concrete.
If I were to have just said, "well Obama's huge ass deficit is going to crowd out private investment. Private investment is more efficient than public spending. If private investment gets crowded out, economic growth will decrease because growth in the capital labor ratio will decrease," would you have really believed me? Probably not. You would probably say, "oh yeah, well prove it." I just preempted you, sir. I'm also concerned with your claim that this is simply a novelty account. This is my real, and only account. I stumbled upon Nubblies a few years ago when I googled, 'mule fucking a jew'. I spent time here and there reading the material. I enjoyed what I read. It was funny, interesting, and downright weird at times. I continued to hide in the shadows reading posts and becoming aquainted with the surroundings. I eventually forgot about Nubblies until a few weeks ago I googled 'masturbating with prosthetics' and I again stumbled upon Nubblies. At this point in my life, things are not going all that great in my personal life. I decided it was time to make myself known to my fellow members of Nubblies. I understand that it hurts your ego to be wrong Mr. Blonde, but that was not a personal attack on you nor should it have really affected you in any way. I understand your need to champion causes, but we all need to choose our battles. For instance, it was a mistake for me to invade Russia. I should have finished off the Allies before I considered such a outrageous strategy. In hindsight, I also probably should have shaved that ridiculous mustasche. We live and we learn. Best of luck to your Mr. Blonde. I hope you get to have sex with a lot of disease-free Korean chicks. |

Here's a fuckin how-de-do

Stunning how politicians change their views to get votes. Palin wasn't spouting freedom in the 08 election and now she's trying to act like a libertarian. They're so fucking fake. The GOP is so torn right now. The neo-cons are watching all their socialist goals get thrown into the wind by the TRUE conservatives.
