right now, our two facilities are overbooked, so unless we want to outsource a ton, then i wont have to make any sales for the next couple of months. thus, i just come in, review some contracts, hold a meeting or two, and screw off.

I grew up on a farm, for real, I don't see what the big deal is here. This argument of "my daddy and mommy got me started out in life better than your mommy and daddy did" is stupid, if bloody want's to be an ignorant dick about the midwest, let him; I fully believe in karma.

Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing.

This shit is rediculous, cut it out.
People are people, location means about jack shit. I think the fact that we are all on nubblies right now should be more than enough evidence that we aren't so different. Besides all that, even if we were drastically different, it would be a non-issue. Just simply not important. NA, I'm pretty sure they are having fun at your expense here, sir. Your best option is to let it go, because defensiveness just proves their point. However, I will play devils advocate just this once: I am sorry that your experiences on the West Coast have left you to believe that people from the Mid-West are less intellegent than you, or poor, or have poor tastes. It's not your fault at all, it's just a fact of life. But you would be better to realize that a good portion of us do not in any way fit the stereotypes. Some of us are here because we were raised here. Some of us are here for College (Purdue, IU, Notre Dame, Ball State, Butler, these all have exceptional programs), but most of us don't plan on being here our entire lives, with the possible exception of living in Indianapolis, which is a thriving metropolis in it's own regard. Personally, I'm pursuing 2 majors (Finance and Business Economics and Public Policy) and 2 minors (Philosophy and Economics) at an extremely highly regarded business school. In 2 years I will be off two law school, and my long term plan is to work in banking or hopefully be a government lawyer for The Fed. You see, most of us here aren't much different from you. If you'd try to understand that I'd appreciate it. [ April 19, 2005, 06:24 PM: Message edited by: DJ FC ] |

EDIT: To help purvey FC's argument, I too will graduate in a year with two majors (criminal justice/criminology and sociology) as well as a minor (psychology), and plan on working with federal law enforcement. [ April 19, 2005, 06:26 PM: Message edited by: Mr. Blonde ]
