Arsenal gives up two goals in match play in day 1-12. Then they give up two goals in four minutes.
Almunia's keeping started out well and then just deteriorated. If he would have been in proper goalkeeping form and didn't have his legs spread wider than Paris Hilton, the game could have been much different. Also, keepers should never get beaten nearside, as happened on the goal by Eto'o. Regardless, it was still a good game. I mean, nowhere near the Liverpool-Milan masterpiece of last year, but a good game for sure. |

NEVER getting beaten nearside is a bit arbitrary, the only way to cover it completly all the time is to give up too much farside and over the top, plus on freekicks if it gets bent around the wall there's not much you can do. But basically you're right, getting beaten nearside the way he did was inexcusable at this level.
