VOL's Top 15 2008 - Nubblies.net Forums

I have tried to do this every year since I have been a member of Nubblies.net. As many of you know, I like to put together a ranking of the top 15 NCAA football teams each season. My own opinion of course, feel free to weigh in.

1. Georgia
2. Florida
3. Oklahoma
4. Ohio State
5. Texas
6. Tennessee
7. Missouri
8. USC
9. LSU
10. Michigan
11. Texas Tech
12. Kansas
13. West Virginia
14. Penn State
15. Rutgers

Having Michigan and Penn State in your top 15 is laughable at best. USC should be way higher than 8 and Rutgers doesn't belong in your 15 either.

Michigan is probably the worst prediction, new coach, new sytem, new qb, rb, wr, and O-line. How can you put them in your top 15 let alone at 10?

BDH- The basis for Michigan being at 10 is simply that they didnt just pick up any old coach, they got Rodriguez from a West Virginia team that came up from the bottom of the trash can. USC, naturally I despise them, however I tried to be impartial in ranking. USC is still living in the shadows of their run with Leinhart, in my opinion, and are probably going to struggle a little with their new qb also. The teams above USC, in my opinion, are better. Penn State will be just fine this year and will contend for the Big 10 title with Ohio State and Michigan, in fact they may even finish better than Michigan. As far as Rutgers goes, they are the wild card choice at 15. I just think they will do well this year and maybe even win the Big East.

Shaw- Florida State is a great program but I think recently they have lost their luster to the media and in the court of public opinion. I would give FSU a ranking of 16 or even 15 (in place of Rutgers) depending on the day. They are better than teams at many things. Im sure they will most likely win the ACC, as far as not being in the top 15, they are on the bubble.

FSU won't touch Clemson Vol.

You're reasoning for Michigan is terrible. They will be middle of the pack in the Big10 and Penn State won't touch the top 15. They lost their stud LB and CB and also have a new QB running the offense. I still have no idea how in the hell you think Michigan will do well. I'd make a bet with anyone they don't win over 8 games.
