Honestly, I'm sort of realizing I'm a Liverpool fan as well (assuming that's your rationale). Thought I just liked watching soccer without any real tie to a specific club, but watching Liverpool the last few weeks (and City, cheering against) has made me realize perhaps there's something there.

I want to like it, and I mostly think it's the right idea. There are downsides too though, because ideally it only gets used on clear decisions, but that's subjective and fuzzy. Also, it kind of kills the moment of celebration because there is always a doubt.

Not much chance of getting a season ticket with the stadium at it's currently capacity.

Athletic Bilbao basically already do this, they only use from the Basque region. They're still a top half team in Spain. South American teams would obviously be good again. Barcelona and the Madrid teams would still be great, Ajax would be great again. In the UK, Wolves and all the other West Midlands teams would get better relative to the rest of the league. Newcastle and Sunderland would probably be good, both usually produce a decent amount of players and don't have to share their city with another team.

Not Beebs but I'm a huge fan. Wrong calls on goals are too meaningful to the game, VAR is a pathway to fix it.
Also how about the dominance of the EPL in general this year? After years with no Champions League wins it's nice to see 4 EPL teams in both of Europe's top competitions. I'm going to be slightly depressed if the Gunners can't knock off Chelsea to win a spot in Champions League. It takes the fun of the draw in Champions League completely out of the picture for me. If any of you fella's make it out to Denver on a week-end when EPL is going on we'll have to visit a soccer bar here on a Saturday. I've done a few 6:00 AM mornings there and by noon your day is pretty much over! |

^ I'm torn on VAR. Agreed with the full "get it right" sentiment, but it wholly changes the game. For example, linesmen letting them play when they think it may be offside (but close) just because they know VAR will bail them out if they err in that direction. I get that the end shows the right result, but it totally fucks the flow of the game doing it like that.
I suppose it's for the greater good, though. |

Maybe it's not as important as i've been led to believe but changing the strip colour to the earlier styles to match the Chinese royalty colours is smart. Wolverhampton could do with the tourism. Need to get something that can make a decision before the ref has chance to blow the whistle.

Wolves will play either Crusaders (Northern Ireland) or B36 Torshavn (Faroe Islands) in the Europa League second qualifying round.
Ties will be played in July 25 and August 1 with Wolves stated to be at home first (TBC) |

They signed Leander Dendoncker permanently after being on loan last season.

The Gooners will place top 4 this season, I'm confident in that. Ceballos looks amazing, I'm hoping we can somehow negotiate post season with Madrid on a permanent deal.
I have high hopes for Pepe in attack, the thought of Auba, Laca, and Pepe on the front has me very excited to watch Arsenal this year. |
