Album Cover Art - Nubblies.net Forums

What are some of your favorite album covers, make sure to post a picture of the album cover itself and then be sure to tell why you like it and/or what makes it special.

For me, Poison the Well's cover art has always tickled my fancy (not so much the new album though...).

Poison the Well - Tear from the Red

This colors used in this cover are very powerful. I'm very much a fan of the style in which it is painted, and it is just generally an all around great cover. I like the raw way in which it was done. I find it very emotional as a piece of art (isn't all art though...).

Poison the Well - The Opposite of December

Another great cover. A very different style is used, but I find it equally powerful. This cover is extremely intricate (i couldn't find a bigger picture, this one doesn't show the detail) and is very pleasing just to look at. The inside cover art (which I also couldn't find) is a whole variety of colors and designs of equal detail and the booklet as a whole is simply stunning.

Both covers work extremely well with the titles of the albums and are just all around great covers (to me at least).
I was turned on to Poison the Well by my brother years ago. Both albums come highly recommended (Opposite of December firstly though).
