I’m going to take this, as much as I can, as a real critique on my posting. As I do fancy the idea of being a good nubblite. There are a lot of cool people on here, with some funny ass shit to say.

Like it or not, this is really who I am. I’m not, and will not, pretend to be anything. For you, or anybody else.

</font>
Yeah. I thought about just pm-ing that. From the response I got, I thought someone else might find it entertaining to have their portrait done, like a street artist thing, so I phrased it as an address to an audience. Some people like the idea. Titan did. And if nothing else, sometimes people appreciate an ice breaker (gives people the chance to introduce themselves [see bold above]. That was the point Dipshit. If you had even taken the slightest effort to see what the “Rig Veda” (ie- Google search, only takes a minute, even on 56k) was you could have easily figured that out. Next time I’ll make a link for you.

Wrong answer. Once again, see above.

If you want to support this sick, antiquated, fantastical ideology, then do it, Motherfucker. While saying “I don’t want to Burn”, is good for a chuckle (that was a stretch in your favor), it doesn’t take any real: creativity, brain power, will power, gut, emotion, etc. and doesn’t say anything about why I should listen to what you have to say.

Anyway…

Silly Penguin. The whole point of this post was to level the idea of some farcical la, la land built up by an organization of warped motherfuckers who think if they can just find the right combination of rules to follow, and pray enough about it…

Sitting up in the sky laughing his Sick head off while he watched people flip from one version of Christianity to another? (or any other religious ‘re-enlightenment’ for that matter).

Why bother waiting and trying to figure it out? I’ve got an idea! [I know this is against your scripture BUT, I still think it’s a really good idea that deserves a second interpretation from (in this case) the bible.] If Heaven is such a great place, I suggest not bothering to try getting all the way around the board before collecting your $200. There’s now time like the present! Achieve your professed Heaven today!

In all honesty though, the last paragraph was because I had a really good time coming up with that rant (please! Post more ). When it comes down to it, I really don’t care. It doesn’t bother me. As long as you’re having a good time pursuing and achieving what ever it is you desire. It’s all good. [Lest you offend or take issue with my fam or crew that is]. Aside from that we all have the ‘right’ to live however we want and say whatever we want, and AcTivE, I’m glad you did.

One more final thought before I take my leave of you…

?… Ah, yes… I believe it was:

You’re an Idiot.

P.S. A Nubblies brand "double-post" is when you accidently post the same thing twice.

Nice posts by the way.
I disagree about the whole hell thing though. Who wouldn't want to believe in a place where you'd be damned to a place where you will be subject to enduring the greatest ultimate suffering for all eternity? That's such a wonderful concept. Almost as wonderful as the fact that you won't get any presents from Santa Claus if you're not a good little boy this year.

Neat how that works isn't it?

Dirty Harry, Pliedes, Titan. Together you have summed up the point I have been trying to get across with absolute precision. That couldn't have been more perfect.

Which begs the question:

When Pliedes says, "Just because you say it, doesn't make it so," does the rule, having been said, actually have any reasonable weight by itself? Because according the rule, there isn't necessarily a rule at all. Of course to get there I'm following the rule, in which there would be a rule. So according the existant rule, the rule doesn't exist. But how can the rule make itself not exist if it doesn't exist? Et cetera.

I do what the fuck I want.

It's not so much a rule, as it's more of a simple phrase used to help people see the inherent fault in something they've stated (stating an opinion does not equate to fact). As a course of action it attempts to see the underlying truth, not simply the statement made.

I don't want to make the quote blocks for everything, so I'm just going to say who said it.

*************
Fruit:

Active, you obviously did not want to support your idea, just explaining where you don't want to burn is not a very good explanation. Where is this lake of fire? how'd it get there? when's open swim? what fairy tale did you get that from? I'm just as likeley to believe that Zeus put me here as anyone else, people like you just make me consider say "Zeus dammit" instead of "God dammit". Both have the same weight right now.

Hephaestus Loves you.
*************

The basis is the bible. My reasoning of not wanting to burn in eternal hell fire is enough to:

********
Ask yourself, why does it come into yours?
********

read that again.

read it again.

if you think the bible is shit, and you are asking for further explanation of why to even believe in the bible....then i don't know what to tell you. do you believe what your math book says?

may think that is stupid, but that's the way it is. you either believe it or you don't. if you haven't read any of it, and you are simply saying 'god does not exist', then to you i say 'fuck you'. if you have read the bible, then tell me why i

should not

believe.

now, titan:

*************
That is a pretty good reason. Personally, I'd prefer the reason that you know and love your creator and it knows and loves you too, and wouldn't do something as ridiculous as damning you to eternal hellfire. But hey, that's just me.

If you're wrong and there is another god (or gods) who is the actual god and also has a rule that states "I am the only god you shall believe in, else you will be damned to eternal hellfire," then I'm willing to bet you'll be damned to eternal hellfire
*************

I'll begin with the first part.

1) I would feel no reason to believe in God if there wasn't some incentive...

would you? Let's get serious, that's human nature. Why would you worship someone else unless there was a reason to? Yes, he is my creator, but so are my parents. I, for some reason, feel the need to rebel at times...do you?

If not, that's awesome. I bet you have an interesting life.

But anyway, back to the point. That there IS a heaven, and a HELL, is reason enough for me to:

******
Ask yourself, why does it come into yours?
******

now, to the second part of your first statement

*********
creator and it knows and loves you too, and wouldn't do something as ridiculous as damning you to eternal hellfire
*********

I'm glad you are not God.

I'm glad Adam and Eve had a choice. If they didn't, then life as we know it would be perfect. Great? I don't think so. Go spend a few hours watching rocks.

If we couldn't make the decision to follow, or not to follow God, then it really wouldn't be a decision.

In any decision, there has to be a consequence...good or bad.

Am I wrong?

And to your second part:

I believe Christianity is the only religion to claim to have a living savior. That's why I believe. To me--there is something inside me, maybe human nature (which of course according to my beliefs=God made), which tells me not to believe that dead things will save you.

and back to your first part:

The fact that my creator put that feeling inside of me, so that I know without a doubt that he has saved me, is awesome, and good enough for me.

I want to be able to make the choice.
