Probably ~6 of my top 15 favorite TV show characters of all time are from The Wire. Bubbles is near the top of the list. A hairon addict, Bubbles is one of the most enduring characters of the show. He is easy to root for from the moment you are introduced to him. He's a hairon addict, so yes, he has his problems, but Bubbles' moral character is rivaled by virtually no one else on the show. His street savvy gives him value to police for whom he is an informant in exchange for money and special consideration during beefs with the law. Bubbles shows how being a hairon addict is not grounds on which to write someone off from society.
