The point of wasting math, albeit 4th or 5th grade math here, on some people. And to illustrate the way some people who didn't know the answer were bitching to other people who didn't know the answer.
I'm sure there are plenty of professions where math comes into play. We're all fucked if engineers don't remember the order of basic math.
