COME ON YOU YANKS
|
Every now and then, while reading through the annals of the board, you'll stumble upon a real gem of a post. Sure, there's a lot of solid quality out there...but sometimes one diamond will outshine the others.
Use this thread to create a virtual Table of Contents of these posts. Just now, I was reading through Drunk Things. While FC's contant conversations to Nubblies (the board itself) are great, my laughter found a peak when I stumbled upon a gem by Blonde. I'm not sure why this hasn't been referenced much, much more. Feel free to follow the post itself along with the fitting dialog following by viewing it here: http://www.nubblies.net/forums/gener...ost247390.html Or just read this: Quote:

I still find it hard to believe he smashed a window with his bare fist.
From what I have learned from The Terminator, it is impossible to smash a window with a bare fist without causing major damage to your hand, unless you are a cybernetic organism sent from the future to kill John Conner. |

I didn't break the window. I just meant i hit it real hard. I wasn't using it in the sense that I broke the window. Or maybe I was, but if thats what i meant, it was a drunken lie. Either way, I didn't, but I sure as hell hit that thing real hard
That being said, Dork, you should know safety glass isn't like plate-glass...It should break without causing significant cuts at least, although i'm sure there'll be quite a bit of bruising if not bone-breaking |

Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing.

The first time you said you smashed his window with your fist, could be construed as "hit real hard," but there's no mistaking your pinocchiosity the second time you say it.

![]() The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. One time at one of our parties, GWB got drunk and poured all of our laundry detergent (about 5 bottles) all over our basement floor, then denied it for months. Then he admitted it when he was drunk later.

I haven't seen that movie since I was 3 or 4 but as I recall that dog dies at the end of the movie. (Something to do with a watch maybe?) Anyway if that's the case you probably shouldn't take that his advice.

N00b.
He dies at the beginning actually. Carface fucks his shit up and he goes to heaven, but then he sneaks his way back to earth. The watch is supposed to represent his life, so when he winds it, it starts ticking again and is brought back to life. |
