Well, I'll take BDH's place just for this one, and start the thread for the Halloween Special for 10/31/02, Halloween Day.
I think this one was much better, although I forgot that Katye does end up screaming a little when the lights go out. Whoops. I'm really sorry. But she dies, so..... |

By the way, wasn't the music for the regular newscast pretty good? You guys are lucky that I ousted Zach Applegate off the audio, or you would have been hearing Hoobastank for the whole entire newscast.
I especially think that having Sunny Day Real Estate's "Pillars" on for the credits was a nice touch. |

i think the halloween special today was good, but the music levels where way way way to loud you could barely hear people talking. I think teresa has done a hell of a job with it, but this isnt a music video, the voices should take precedence in the special.

I agree with buckeye...at times it was impossible to hear what the people were saying. What I don't understand is why it was so high? I mean...it's really not that hard to lower the music volume is it? I remember being in the basic class and it didn't seem like it would be all that difficult...but more than likely I have no idea what I'm talking about, if that's the case then never fucking mind.
But, on a positive note, it was much better than any of the previous three. What I really liked the most was, one, the suspicion of each character towards one another, two, I liked how it sort of showed the characters' actual fear of leaving the room sort of. I also liked the part when the lights all of a sudden went out and the heavy metal music started playing (a little too loud, but still cool). I must say that was probably as close to scary as the production has gotten (which isn't very scary but...it's a highschool thing, not much you can really do I suppose). All and all not too shabby. On another negative note, Alicia=bad actress. Once again I do anticipate the final episode, I'm very curious to find out who the killer is, and who lives, and who dies. $JohnnyRichter$ [This message has been edited by JohnnyRichter (edited October 31, 2002).] |

As JR said, the music is very very easy to turn down while making a movie on an imac. The downside to the imac, because of its simplicity there is no way to adjust music volumes for individual parts of a presentation, so what tersea did was made the music loud so it would sound good in certain parts, (like the screaming, followed by the heavy metal) but other parts however, were ruined by the loud music. This is unfortunate, cause it ruined alot of good content.
Anoter reason, why i hate apple computers. Sure they are good for, little home movies of johnny's first steps, and simple shit like that, but you wont see any professional movie makers using them. |
