This is the last coffeehouse since school is almost out... (5 days left) :] There will be good music, and I'm sure of course drinks and food as usual. Always a good time. Its on May 22 at the high school. Should start at 6:30. Be there, or... yah...

malibu 05-20-2003 10:01 PM

The art show is the same night, so there will also be art displays. Just an add in

Titan 05-21-2003 12:20 AM

I'm very much looking forward to the showcases of Teresa Sharpe and Claire Bussel, as they are the best artists of the '04 class.

Combat Chuck 05-21-2003 12:26 AM

I always look forward to the Tri-Kappa Art Show and seeing the Senior Showcases. Gotta say, last year's highlight for the senior showcases had to be Drew Etienne's. Man, I seriously wanted to buy that piece he had that had the muted reds and whites and it looked like two people kissing. It was small, it wasn't flashy, but it was the best thing I saw there.

And Claire Bussel's Apple piece that won the overall best piece award was phenomonal.

Like I said, can't wait to see what they offer up this year.

And there are alot of other acts throughout the night, like theater performances, and the coffeehouse.

Thrice_underground 05-23-2003 06:11 PM

HEY YEAH THE FREE FOOD AND DRINKS WERE GOOD!

ProfessorNumber 05-23-2003 09:18 PM

School sanctioned events are fun! lets all go and hold each other's dicks.

Titan 05-24-2003 01:46 AM

Or you could just join the gay club and leave us out of it.

ProfessorNumber 05-24-2003 01:53 AM

Good comeback, did you think of it all by yourself?

For God's sake, leave the gsa out of every comeback/insult. No one wants to hear it.

Titan 05-24-2003 01:55 AM

Actually, if you wanna go ahead and check the dates on that and see when the last time someone actually talked about the "gsa", I might accept your "comeback". That would be great, thanks.

Oh... uh... sure...
I'm sorry, I didn't see the apparent horde of screaming GSA haters... I'm playing Super Puzzle Fighter II; I won't deny that I may have missed the troublesome bunch run by and start a huge riot that may or may not have resulted in the end of the world, I was busy, again, my apologies.

ProfessorNumber 05-24-2003 02:10 AM

Hey smartass, just because you personally haven't seen a "horde" of gsa haters, doesn't mean they don't exist. In this modern era, the word gay is associated with uncool. Therefore, the gsa falls pray to many people who think its funny to use it as an insult. It does happen, I just read a post in the shit-talking section where someone used it. Maybe it doesn't happen all the time, but it does, so don't even pretend to be a smartass and try to make fun of me.

silver and cold 05-24-2003 02:11 AM

I thought Teresa's stuf was great! there was alot of great stuff in there!
and ProfessorNumber, just b/c you cant appreciate (or how ever you spell it)good art, doesnt mean that you have to talk all shitty about it.

ProfessorNumber 05-24-2003 02:12 AM

Yes, thats exactly what it means. The coffee house was incredibly stupid, and deserves to be made fun of. If I don't, someone else will. So, you might as well admit that all those idiots playing acoustic guitar, sipping on their chai's, were dumbasses. Plain and simple.

Titan 05-24-2003 02:15 AM

Alright, you're done.
Thanks.

silver and cold 05-24-2003 02:21 AM

professor, just cause you have no musical or artistic talent doesnt mean you have to rag on the people that do.

ProfessorNumber 05-24-2003 02:26 AM

Yes, thats exactly what it means. I have the right to make fun of whoever the hell I want to, and I choose to exercise that right. The performers at the coffee house were all dumbasses, who had their heads shoved too far up their ass to realize that no one wants to hear their stupid poetry or guitar noise.

Titan 05-24-2003 02:29 AM

Hmmm... funny... I could have sworn there was a very real audience there with many people that wanted to hear their "stupid poetry" and "guitar noise"... wow... I must have been hallucinating again... shit.

pliedes 05-24-2003 02:36 AM

ProfessorNumber - Why do you open up with a blatently homosexual remark ("lets all go and hold each other's dicks.") Then get pissed at someone for telling you that maybe you should express your homosexual tendencies in a postive way, like joining a gay straight alliance, instead of wasting people's time on this board. Yes you have the right to your opinion, but when you demostrate yourself to be the dumbass you have, then maybe it's better that you don't.
Also, please explain how "The performers at the coffee house were all dumbasses, who had their heads shoved too far up their ass to realize that no one wants to hear their stupid poetry or guitar noise." The way it looks, either you didn't go and are just making this baseless assumption, or you've actually gone to a coffeehouse, therefore disproving your statement of "no one wants to hear their stupid poetry".

How exactly does something qualify as "stupid" and at what point does something "deserve to be made fun of". Also, where does the assumption of "If Id ont', someone else will." come from? Maybe, just maybe, not everyone is as much of an ignoramus as you are.

If you can assume that no one wants to hear comments about the gsa, which is supposedly so hated and uncool as you say, then what would possess you to make even more broad homosexual remarks?

<BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by ProfessorNumber:

No shit Sherlock. So what the hell are you trying to prove by that statement? That people don't like gays? Wow, thats deep.

<BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by ProfessorNumber:

Since when? Are you suddenly Noah Webster? Do you determain the significance of words. Go to the gay section of any major city; the word gay isn't uncool, on the other hand, dumbasses who talk out their ass (ie - ProffesorNumbnuts here) are regarded as uncool.

<BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by ProfessorNumber:

People who think it's funny to use it as an insult? You're condemning someone for making a gsa remark, yet you are making other homosexual remarks? Do you see the problem with that? Do you see what hypocritical bastard you're being? If people are so sick of gsa comments like you say, then don't you think they'd be a little sick of immature comments like "lets all go and hold each other's dicks."?

<BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by ProfessorNumber:

Unlike you, most of us have been here for a while and already know what has happened in past threads. Also, a few occurences online doesn't deem something a universal phenomenon

<BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by ProfessorNumber:

Wow, people don't like the lifestyle of another. Thank you Captain Obvious.

<BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by ProfessorNumber:

You opened this by calling him a smartass, so which is it? Is he a smartass or just pretending? Make up your little mind, emphasis on little.

pliedes 05-24-2003 02:55 AM

I'm actually sorry that I've just wasted so much space and time making the above posts. It's just sad when people have just enough brains to think they know something, and not enough to actually do.

long-since-forgotten 05-24-2003 03:21 AM

Pliedes, I must say, that was beutiful.
On the other hand...
Professor - You're a newcomer, like me, I wouldn't start talkin' that much shit 'till you've got a heavy number of posts, or, you could simply just keep up the dumbass remarks and make a total fool out of yourself.
The choice is yours.
(oh yeah, I highly enjoyed the "guitar noise" )
