Introducing Ubiquity for Mozilla Firefox
 

Have you guys heard of this? I have been using it for a while. I think it is crazy awesome. Told my brothers and a few friends about it when I found out.

I could describe it...but it would be somewhat long, and I don't want to type it out. Best thing is to just watch the video from here:

Truly amazing imho. Plus it's open source, and from the looks of it, isn't very hard to extend.

It's really something you should check out if you do not know what it is. Really enhances your browsing experience...basically allows you to be reading a page, and if you want some quick info on anything from wikipedia, or need to define a word, map a place, etc. etc. ...you can, just by hitting ctrl+space ...and it pops up a window inside your current tab--that looks up the information and displays it as it is loaded.

Say I want to know the weather. I hit ctrl + space, type in "wea" (it knows based on past usage and available commands), and it displays the weather. I'll attach a screenshot so some of you actually may check it out....

no not yet, too lazy. I'll bookmark it so i don't forget about it this time.

another addon thats pretty great for Firefox is "Read it Later"

I mainly use ubiquity for looking up words I don't know..and quickly checking the weather...though it is very very powerful and can be used for a ton of other stuff...

You overuse the ellipses...

No such thing as too much of a good thing...

Active, you seem to have a finely tuned system there, it makes me happy how fast you can search wikipedia, and know what the weather is like without opening up a new tab.
Now you can spend more time making shit threads.

Does it work for Flock since Flock is a different version of Mozilla?
