Sunglasses are fucking cool. Everyone knows it, everyone loves 'em. If you don't love sunglasses you must like sucking cock! I decided to make this thread because I just went out and on a whim bought some bad ass Oakley's. Many wannabes exist, but none can compare to the sheer kick ass-ness of Oakley's. They are the standard when it comes to making kick ass, high quality shades. I've also noticed that it seems like the prices of Oakley's have gone down in recent years. Granted, they still have outrageously expensive shades, but your typical models have gone from being $200 to around $120 give or take a few bucks.
The ones I just bought are the Oakley Oil Rigs, white frames with ghost text. I'm pretty happy with the purchase. Here's a picture of them.
Although I am happy with the purchase, I'm pissed off that I even had to spend the money. It shouldn't have been necessary, or I should have two pairs of kickass Oakley's. Back in October I went out and bought a pair of the Fuel Cells, they were pretty sweet, too. Unfortunately the god damn piece of shit neighbor kid broke in my car and stole them one night. Well, at least I think it was him. I have no real proof except that it is very unlikely that it was anyone else. Especially since a few months earlier someone broke into my dad's car and stole his radar detector. Needless to say we're installing a video camera outside to catch the little bastard, or his friends whoever it may be. I had the clear plastic frame, with violet iridium lens. Although I wasn't too happy with the purple color, I still bought them for a few reasons. One, the clear plastic frames were really fucking cool. Two, in the sunlight, the violet lens changed to blue. Three, the sales guy told me I could get different colored lens from the website for like $20. Here's a picture of them.
They look a little more purple in this digital rendering of the glasses. In real life, as I said, there was much more blue in the lens. Well I guess I don't have to worry about it now.
