Don't fuck with this 1500 bad ass!
Moose are found all over the Northern Hemisphere; their range essentially coincides with that of the coniferous forests of northern Asia, Europe, and North America.
Moose may grow to be 7 feet tall and 1500 pounds!
They like to eat trees and shrubs, usually maple and aspen and are considered herbivores
Moose loose their antlers in the Spring, and breed in the Fall
The word "moose" itself is derived from the Natik word "moos," itself supposedly derived from the Proto-Algonquian mooswa, meaning "the animal that strips bark off of trees."
Moose have a life expectancy of 8-25 years

The male is called a bull, the female is a cow and the young are calves.
Moose make a strange whistle-like call and grunting noises.
The moose can be seen eating during the day and night, but they are usually out at dawn and dusk.
Moose often live alone.
They try to avoid humans.
A moose will go crashing through the trees when frightened.
An angry moose can be very dangerous.
In September and October the bulls use their antlers to fight each other to win females. Then in late fall the bulls' antlers fall off and new ones grow.

I once saw a animal video where a Moose and a Grizzly bear squared off at eachother in a river for over 45 minutes! The Grizzly couldn't do shit cause the Mooses ginormous antlers were poised to spear him. Eventually though the Moose tired and the bear was able to get behind him and then it was over. Still, not much can hold of a Grizzly that long. Sweet.
