The only other fantasy shit I've ever read are those hobbit books before the movies came out. It's right up there with them at least. But the show > than the shitty movies they made.

It's really hard for me to give a shit about hotlinking images when AP, Vaga and others do it quite frequently and nobody gives them shit -- especially when I'm the only one who usually gets excluded from viewing.
You have both seen and heard of Rickon before. He was in the Stark family lineup when Robert first came to Winterfell in the first family (for like a couple seconds) and he is referenced a couple times -- namely by Catelyn referring to the various sons to "take care of their little brother/brothers. There is an inside joke among the fans that Rickon is either A. shunned by the rest of the family (therefore really creepy when he shows up) or B. too fucking cool for the rest of those suckers. |

Yes, Ned is beheaded at the end of this episode. At first I wasn't sure if he had 100% been decapitated or what so I had to look it up. To me, Ned was the main character of the show. Not sure how I feel about him getting killed off. Khal was dying in this episode, too, but his wife is trying to save him using blood magic...which seems like it's not going to go over well with the savages. Nothing is worse than seeing that son of a bitch Joffery crowned as king, though

It was awesome. I love this show so much, I've never watched a show where I could see myself doing the entire series in say, a weekend or two. I can't watch more than 2 hours of a show without being bored as fuck and want to switch it up. But even knowing the entire plot, I want to watch nonstop.
If you've seen Sunday's episode, you can read this: I'm disappointed they didn't put the Battle of the Whispering Wood, when Robb catches Jaime Lannister, in the show. It was my favorite battle of the book. From the wikia: The Battle of the Whispering Wood was a pivotal battle during the War of the Five Kings. It relieved Riverrun while shattering one of the Lannister armies in the Riverlands. The Lannister army was made up of 12,000 infantry split into three camps and roughly 2-3, 000 horse. The Northern army, with added levies from House Frey and House Mallister was roughly one third of that.[1] The Battle Robb Stark split his forces and took his northern cavalry across the Green Fork of the Trident at the Twins and marched south to relieve Riverrun. In an effort to keep his march secret, he had Ser Brynden Tully shoot down all of the Lannister ravens and any outriders screening the camps. In an effort to draw Ser Jaime from his camp, Robb Stark sent a small force of a few hundred men carrying Tully colors to raid his camp and lure him out. When Ser Jaime came out, the raiders would fall back to a point where the rest of the Stark force would be waiting. Forces of Lady Mormont sounded horns to signal the trap had been sprung. Greatjon Umber, Lord Rickard Karstark, the Freys and Mallisters all had subordinate commands. When Ser Jaime saw the battle lost, he rallied his retainers and attempted to cut his way through the host to slay Robb Stark in single combat. He was halted, but not before some of Robb Stark's personal guard were slain. Also, Robb's Direwolf, Greywind (none of the direwolves are getting NEAR THE FUCKING AMOUNT OF ATTENTION THEY DESERVE FROM THE BOOK) is joining in all his battles and literally ripping people in half on the battlefield. This starts to build quite the reputation among his foes. |

Another thing I forgot to mention, in the books, Tyrion doesn't get knocked out at the beginning of the battle. He actually ends up doing really well and soldiers are confused to see a dwarf, and he chops a bunch of people's legs off and shit/earns the Hill Tribe's respect.

his major character flaw the entire time is he's too proud to betray his honor - causing many poor choices. And then does a 360 and up and betrays his honor by pleading guilty to treason with no guarantees that it would do any good. glad to see him go.

You certainly make some good points...he got himself on death row by refusing to betray his honor, and then he bitches out and betrays his honor. Yeah, fuck Ned Stark.

DH, maybe spoiler tag that for people?
To be fair, a quote from Ned Stark himself: "You think my life is such a precious thing to me, that I would trade my honor for a few more years...of what?" --- he only ended up confessing to save his daughters, which by my watch, didn't make him forsake his honor at all. That being said, he's still been a dumbass since day one, and therefore deserved to die. |

So I'm downloading the series in anticipation of watching ... EZTV does not have episode 8 and piratebay is currently down ... where else can I find a torrent for it?

Started reading the books, I have purchased the first two. Although I still believe the tv show is awesome, I gotta say the books are better (which is typical). You just get inside the characters so much more with the book.
