I have found the ultimate excuse for use in all situations. Today I was supposed to meet with a professor to discuss my final paper, which is far from completed and due next Wednesday. So I send him this email:
I'm sorry for the late notice, but I cannot attend our meeting today due to personal reasons. This is the best excuse ever! It allows the person who recieves it to let their imagination run wild. He could think I'm rushing home this weekend because my mother died, or maybe I was playing golf and broke my ankle. Now if I happen to see him and he asks me about it, I can just say, "I... I... I really can't talk about it right now." Then walk away quickly. |

This painfully gay man speaks the truth. The "personal reason" thing works especially well on females as long as you put on a sad face and sound like something is wrong, they will buy it every time. They may ask "Do you want to talk about it?" No matter what, DO NOT SAY YES. It is best to say something along the lines of what INCREDIBLEdork suggested.

The "personal reasons" excuse is for rookies. When you want to move to the next level you will come up with a very specific and very serious problem that is a complete and utter lie. For example I once got out of a job by giving a teary eyed confession to my boss that I had cancer. No bs. Of course by doing this you have to be a pro because chances are they'll look into it. What does that tell us? That they don't trust you! They think you're a fucking liar! So you've got to prove them wrong! You go to every length imaginable to prove to them that yes, I DO infact have cancer (or whatever excuse you come up with). I for one lost 15 pounds and ate very poorly to give myself a nice sickly look. I even even forged hospital documents and put myself on a local prayer chain. So yeah, fuck you buddy see if you think I'm a liar next time.

Best Excuse Ever:
Sorry for the late notice, but i can not attend our meeting to day do to personal WOMEN reasons. If you are saying this to a man, he will notfuck with it at all, he'll just say: "Oh! take all the time you need! Just give us a call tomorrow if you can't make then either." and thats that, he doesnt understand why you can't make it, nor does he want to, so your off the hook. When you say this to a women, she complies even more easily: "Oh yea, I understand honey, just let me know when you feel better k sweetie?" |

That's besides the point! I didn't want to do the job anymore and rather then put in 2 weeks notice and slave through it I got out of it right then and there...And if that meant I had to have cancer then so be it.
