Who cares, Stanford got beat by Alabama which means my national champion is out. In order for me to win I need the rest of my final four teams to win out. And I was tied for the top spot as of 6:00pm yesterday with BDH. Oh March Madness.

It's amazing how far I dropped after being #1. I wouldn't have called this Final Four in 1,000 years. So now that I'm clearly out, I'm guessing that it will go like this (just for prediction purposes).
National Championship will be Duke vs. Oklahoma State and OK State will take it. |

Vol, you are a moron, it's obvious that you don't know how to pick teams by what we've seen with your bracket already. This is how it will go:
Final Four Georgia Tech def. Oklahoma State Connecticut def. Duke Championship Game Connecticut def. Georgia Tech Now, the Georgia Tech vs Ok. St. will be a very close game, it will be decided by 5 points or less. Connecticut though, will beat Duke by 7+ points. Duke just can't compete with the Huskies. The final game, Connecticut won't have a problem beating Georgia Tech for the national championship. It is possible that Ok. St. will be G Tech, but UConn will win it all for sure. |

Yeah, only a huge badass would have guessed this final four perfectly. I think we can all agree with that.
In other news, the battle for the Golden N has come down to a select few people. Right now, there are 7 people who can, at first glance, win the entire thing (based on possible points & the points that the leader has); however, such is probably not the case (since those further down the board get their points from some of the same games that those at the top get the same points). Assuming that each game is the flip of a coin (which it probably isn't, but, the way things have gone, it very well may be), there are 8 possible ways that this thing can end. If the tourney ends in each of the 8 possible ways, the winner would/will be: Duke over Oklahoma St. = Gaz Duke over Georgia Tech = Gaz Uconn over Oklahoma St. = Elegy Uconn over Georgia Tech = Trout Oklahoma St. over Duke = Lethal Oklahoma St. over Uconn = Lethal Georgia Tech over Duke = Gaz Georgia Tech over Uconn = Trout An interesting note: If Uconn beats Oklahoma State, Elegy will win with a total of 1050 points. I will be in second with 1040 and both BDH and Trout will be tied with 1030. That's pretty neat. In closing, I'm going to win. |

So it's obvious that I will win, because we all know that Georgia Tech is going to win, and Duke doesn't stand a chance against UConn. And as long as G Tech and Connecticut make it to the Championship game, I win.

How could I be the moron Trout? I am willing to bet that millions of people around the country would have never called this Final Four. Even the paid ESPN bracketologists wouldn't have picked it, so you have no argument.

I can't believe I jumped from 10th to 5th in just a week. The thought that I'm still in this is great. Go Huskies!
Oh, and by the way, I picked most of my brackets on whether I had heard of/liked the school. [ March 29, 2004, 09:34 PM: Message edited by: Elegy ] |

I'd say about 1.6% of those who filled out brackets would have picked this final four. Probably about 39,145 brackets of all of those submitted in the espn tournament challenge. Basically, I'd like to re-emphasize the points that anyone who correctly picked all 4 final four teams this year has a huge cock of steel.

Listen, I'm sorry that you've gotten your hopes up and everything...but that's no reason to start talking like a complete dumbass. Okst will have trouble with Tech. How can you expect a team like that to hang with the Devils?
You can't. The N is going to look nice underneath my name. I'll let you touch it if you want. |
