Realism vs Anti-Realism

Quote:

In analytic philosophy, anti-realism encompasses any position involving either the denial of an objective reality or the denial that verification-transcendent statements are either true or false.
Most of the people I speak with are anti-realist about pretty much everything, consciousness is usually the one thing people are realist about, and lots don't even buy that.
Value anti-realism is the most repugnant thing I've encountered, especially when it comes from people who are trying more than anyone else to reduce suffering in the world.
I don't think moral realism should be dismissed so casually.

...I mean, you're basically just talking about moral relativism, yes?

If you want to talk about moral relativism and anti-moral relavitism(not something i've heard) thats fine.
This thread is for all types of realism/anti-realism topics
Consciousness realism is one of the topics i'd like to discuss.
What would a consciousness relativist look like?

Moral relativism is societal cancer

Literally just repeat the same topics my entire life what a bore.

Hume's guillotine is a formidable weapon, anyone have some tactics on avoiding it? Extra steps involving rationality to get to an ought?
