John Rambo
This is the thread where Orgazmo will post pictures of his new dog for us to look at. Any time you're ready, "big guy". (<--- Yotter saying since it's Festivus)
|
Here is John Rambo. He is a Shetland Sheepdog. He is also a devourer of souls. And he's asleep. And I don't want to wake him up.

How is the cat handling all of this?
|
The cat doesn't like change. He also doesn't like other animals. This has led him to be a bit tempermental for the past 24 hours. He is starting to come around, though. I predict a full recovery in one week's time.
It doesn't' help that the dog is in super-fucking-annoying mode to him. As in, he sees a moving tail and pounces after it/bites it. The cat doesn't have time to put up with bullshit like that. He's more of an elder sage at this point. |
more pictures, faggot

Awesome. I can't wait to get a dog.
|
Question.
Why did you pick such a shitty breed? |

I wasn't aware elder sages were forced to wear jester collars

I know it's not a smart idea to get a dog while you're abroad - that's why I haven't gotten one. We're waiting until we're back home next summer.

My dog made me realize I am in no way ready to have a kid. That's how much time they consume.

That said, I like the breed. It wouldn't have been my first choice, but, in reality, my terms for a dog were no more than "It has to be a real dog (not one of those small yappy thing) and it has to not be a dummy." This breed fits both of these. Also, it's more reasonably-sized than a breed I would have preferred (Golden, Lab, etc). Also, we've known the dog since the day it was born. It's kind of nice to be able to say that. Quote:

I've had the dog for 3 days and this is already very clear. Of course, he'll get easier to deal with as he learns to shit and piss outside and stops chewing everything in sight, but, even at that point, he'll need daily care. Get a cat if you're worried about maintenance. Quote:

I will definitely get a cat once I get my own place, but dogs can be awesome. |
Bonus video of all the puppies. Sorry for shit quality...the original was 90mb. Guess I compressed a bit too much :(

The dog is coming along nicely. His pissing/shitting in the house is improving daily. He's to the point where he's normally at least give an effort to go to the door before shitting elsewhere. I can appreciate that.
When he does piss on the floor, it is almost always in a spot where I later stand. Generally on tile/wood as well. He's a god damned Nostradamus like that. His bark still makes him sound like a woman. I won't consider him a real dog until he stop yapping and starts ruffing. Did you hear that, John? You're not a real dog yet. You may never be. He and the cat now have epic battles. The cat will take the high ground (sofa back, bar stool, etc) and paw him in the face as he relentlessly jumps at the cat. The cat will then jump down and run. The dog is almost as fast the cat now, though...so he is normally caught and cornered. This leads to the cat getting jumped on and the dog being pawed. The result is normally the cat leaping over the dog and running for high ground...where the process repeats. Here is a pic of the little bastard with the cat cautiously looking on... http://www.nubblies.net/forums/Photo...johnrambo1.jpg |
