wow, so much anger on this thread.
I am really looking forward to this fight no matter what. Royce is a legend and deserves a big thanks for helping make this sport as popular as it is in the US today. I think he's at a disadvantage against Hughes. Styles make fights and Matt Hughes has a style that is not well suited for Royce. Royce needs to get some good striking training, but it may be too late for that.
BJ Penn is a very good striker BTW.
If it goes to the ground and Hughes is on his back, it's not good news for Hughes. This fight is not a gimme for any fighter, and I'm glad Royce is stepping up to face top competition.
One thing about Royce is that guy fears nobody. He has fought a lot of good fighters and a lot of fighters a lot larger than he. No matter what, you got to respect Royce's heart, special rules and all.
An d DCK, I do not think the best way to determine a fighters "skill" is no time limits. I tink that's bullshit and a good way for the one trick pony to hug and tire is guy out for an hour to finally try to get a sub. That's not real fighitng. Real lfights end quickly and rarely go one on one.
