Notre Dame should of gotten beat by 1-8 Navy. OKLAHOMA GETS BEAT BY TEXAS A&M. Ohio State throws up a prayer on 4th and 1 to win against Purdue. This will definitely shake up the BCS making Miami and Ohio State the two top teams. If OSU keeps this up and doesn't have clarett they will definitely lose to Michigan

Actually your wrong
Ohio State is undefeated. I know that Bowling Green was undefeated and were losing to Norther Illinois 23-13...but it was early in the second half so if they won they are still undefeated too. So therefore UB you are wrong. |

I know Ohio State is undefeated. You said in your last post that they would lose to Michigan, and in response to that, I said, "thus leaving Miami as the only undefeated team".
Also, Bowling Green got their asses kicked by Northern Illinois today. -Ugly Bastard [This message has been edited by Ugly Bastard (edited November 10, 2002).] |

It was a misinterpretation then no need to throw the term "moron" at me because I'm sure most average nubbliers would of taken your comment as Miami being the only undefeated team. Nonetheless with no clarett the buckeyes will choke in the big game to go to the national championship.
National Championship prediction: Miami-17 Texas-21 Rose Bowl: Iowa vs. (insert pac-10 winner) |

Yes Orgazmo Ugly Bastard is totally correct. These things must happen for OU to get into the big show.
Notre Dame will have to lose again. Miami will have to lose and so will Ohio State. Iowa and Va Tech will have to lose. Inevitable if miami loses and osu loses the national championship would be Texas vs. Iowa |

The likely hood of Ohio State losing to Michigan is about as likely as abstinence being practiced in Las Vegas next Saturday night.
Here is my prediction for the OSU Michigan game, clarett might play, but i doubt, i am calling 2 weeks ahead of time; he will be injured, or will get injured. Given this scenario, OSU will once again be forced to rely on their passive play calling on offense, so they will not score more than 21. With michigan having the next to worst secondary in the big ten, OSU should be able to get things done through the air. Michigan on the other hand will get stoned by Ohio State's defense. Michigan wont be able to run the ball on the #3 run defense in the country, therefore they will be forced to pass with navare at qb, which if your the defensive coordinator for the buckeyes, you would have no problem with this. Final Score Michigan 6 Ohio State 21 pack your bags for Arizona [This message has been edited by buckeye (edited November 10, 2002).] |

Fuck that, if either OSU loses or the Canes go down, Oklahoma would be first in line for the 2nd place in the BCS and a nice trip to the Fiesta Bowl. If they win the rest of their games, they'll probably be pretty even with Washington State in the rankings...but their quality of wins should easily offset the margin to give them the extra push that they need.
To say that they have a snowball's chance in hell of making the championship game is crazy. If VT takes out the canes (which I see as likely...even after their 2 losses), or is OSU fucks up against Michigan, I'm definitely seeing them as making the trip... |

If OSU and the 'Canes go down (which won't happen), then Oklahoma would not be next in line, Notre Dame would. They've got the toughest schedule in the nation, and they're only going to lose one game with that schedule.
But, we all know that as long as Dorsey can walk, the 'Canes won't lose. Fiesta Bowl Prediction: 'Canes: 42 Ohio State: 17 -Ugly Bastard |

Unfortunately, the BCS doesn't what you think about ND's schedule. None of the teams they've beaten give them any Quality of Win points...and obviously those ranking them on the two polls considered by the BCS think that them being ranked #9 is about right. I don't think the BCS factors in Ugly Bastard's opinion of schedule strength as one of the criteria...unfortunately for ND fans. |

here is the bcs projections for monday
1. Ohio State 2. Miami 3. Washington State 4. Oklahoma 5. Texas 6. Georgia 7. Notre Dame 8. Iowa 9. USC 10. Michigan ohio state wont loose. Miami, might against virginia tech. But Washington State wont they are a cut above the rest in teh pac ten.. So even if miami looses, it'll be a washington state ohio state rematch. |

There are nine computers used to compute the BCS rankings. Four of these nine factor in a "Strength of Schedule" clause. In all four cases, Notre Dame has the toughest schedule in 1A football.
But anywho....Oklahoma isn't going to the National Championship, and that's all I was trying to say. -Ugly Bastard |

I'm sorry, but Purdue? At least ND got beat by a team they had a long standing rivalry with... OSU about got beat by Purdue! Seriously, if they weren't one of two undefeated teams they would've dropped a bunch in the standings... Anyways, my money was on Oklahoma until this weekend, but after seeing all these games, i'm betting that no team will go undefeated (unless miami has a wussy sceduale)...

Orgazmo-
You're entitled to your opinion. And I am entitled to mine. However, our opinions GREATLY differ from one another. I will bet you ANY dollar amount that you want to that Oklahoma will NOT be in the National Championship game. You name the amount, and I'll put it up. -Ugly Bastard |

My claim that they'll make the game is made with assumptions that either OSU or Miami will lose...and that OU will win the rest of their games.
I'll make a bet with you that, if one of the aforementioned teams falls, and OU does, indeed, win the rest of their games, that OU will make it to the national championship game. The dollar amount of this bet is 30% of the next sale of a Seinfeld Set ![]() |

Maurice Clarett played injured then had to leave the game later 2.Vance their next best recieve besides gamble was at a funeral. As far as nd goes, they barely beat purdue also. and how bout their close games against navy, and michigan state? purdue deserves credit, they have lost all their games by 7 points this year, so by no means are they a bad football team. and finally most of the top teams have had close games just look at miami, they almost lost to the rutgers, if this would have happened it would have been the rutgers first upset of a ranked team since 1879. buckeye, you make valid points. however, it is a great dissapointment to me to see you cheering for the wrong team. it is obvious a football connoisseur such as yourself should be cheering for the better team, Michigan. Although they have been down the past, oh i don't know, 6 years since they won the National Championship i believe, they are still one of the most storied football programs in the country. Yes, they rival that of Notre Dame's legacy.
As for how the rest of the season will turn out, here she blows... Miami = may lose to VT in the final game of the season. I am worried, however, with VT's past two weeks. Had i been asked two weeks ago if miami would lose to VT my answer would have been definately. But with Miami's trouncing on Tennessee, and VTs loss to Syracuse, i am beginning to wonder. Final prediction = Miami goes undefeated to the Fiesta Bowl Ohio State = My obvious distaste for the Buckeyes shall be noted. Buckeye however got me to thinking. Ohio State's defence is solid like a rock. A big thick rock. And yes they will most likely shut down perry and askew. But give more props to Navarre, the kid is improving with his boyz Edwards, Bellamy, and the tight end. Im also worried about OS's offense. Krenztle is good and they have a few other people. All in all, they are not championship quality. Final prediction = Michigan Wins, another barn burner in buckeye country And final predictions for a few of the the Championship and Big Ten Champion. Big Ten = Iowa, they are a powerhouse. look out for them. National Championship = Everyone is saying Texas, but i say watch out for the upset. They still play A&M and Tech. Two teams that have some nice upsets already. I think we all can agree that ND was and is a fluke. They will lose again. I like em, don't get me wrong. Alright. It all comes down to who is championship material and who is not. There are a lot of really good 1 loss teams. Whoe will be playing Miami for the championship is a tough one to call Final Prediction = Miami Loses to Oklahoma. Tough call but that is it boys. Hope this is a grand first post me. oh yeah saturday, why in the world has nobody even mentioned the Kentucky game. I mean honestly. If we want to bash, all of those duche bag players down in hicksville would be good ones to nail. what losers. oh well whats new for them next topic should be.....Heisman Trophy. Who's going to win it????? |
