Such a test will never happen.

The poor, uneducated, and ignorant vastly outnumber the other side. These people typically vote democrat, too. It will just never happen. You'd hear people say things like, "what's next, only white land-owning males can vote?"

While I'd prefer that to vote, one must pay income tax, I'd bet that are more uneducated republicans than dems.

Maybe the poor vote democrat, but I think you'd have a hard time proving that those who lie on the left are generally more uneducated and ignorant compared to the right. Christ man, look around Muncie.

	The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.
