On Saturday night, we all boarded a large shuttle bus/party bus to take us to a local bar. The bus charges $5 per person. During the ride, UB arranged with the driver to have him return in an hour and allow us to pay $200 to have his services until 3:30am. After we finished dinner, we sat outside the bar drinking Bud Lights waiting for the driver to return, but, alas, he never did. When his tardiness reached 45 minutes, UB had boiled over and began the movement that led to all of us returning to my place (using 3 cars driven by 3 sober people).
Just as we started to get in the cars, the bus started to pull into the bar's parking lot. At this moment, BDH decided that going out in the bus alone was a better idea than sticking with the rest of us, so he disappeared. The next morning, we found out that the bus driver forced BDH to pay the tab for everyone in our group who had ridden on the bus a couple hours earlier, a sum total of $50.
