The tea party will continue to show up at the end of elections periods to put their name in the news. IE Ross Perot. They will never win office, but they try to figure out what they can gain by which party. They are bigger flip floppers then Colts fans.

Despite being left leaning, if Ron Paul gets the GOP nomination I think i'll end up voting for him. I'd rather he run as a Libertarian but we all know that won't happen. Definitely not a fan of his religious views but I do think that Ron Paul would be the last to let them influence his policy; in fact I am almost certain Ron Paul would issue a "Go fuck yourself, there are REAL issues we need to deal with here" to any call from either side of the religion platform.

Actually, it's not because he's "left" on personal freedoms and "right" on economic freedoms, which makes NOT left and right in the same manner he would be both left and right.
