Some other helpful maneuvers when you know you're going to get pulled over is to not just pull over immediately even before necessary, but to pull off a main road onto a side road. Cops appreciate that you are taking them off a dangerous road. If you can't get off the road, pull over as far as possible. Admitting you were caught by instantly pulling over had saved me an amazing amount of tickets.

Probably not. Just being honest as well. There's only a few people who've posted here that I have actually met in real life. Though I have no personal experience, I've heard that ground fighting in a bar/street fight is a bad idea if you're smaller.

i had some fucker register "halfwhiteisnotblack.com" today then giggle maniacally when he thought he disconnected after repeating the domain name. It was the creepiest thing I've ever heard a customer do. From what I could pick up from the call he was obviously going to use the domain name to bash Obama.

It really pisses me off because for the past 300ish years the general populace has held the one drop rule and it seems that just now when we have a black president in the office they're starting to backpedal on it. idiots.

This is decent advice. Adding to it; If you are going to try to pull off to a side road or something, but have to a go a little ways, acknowledge the officer by throwing on the hazards and continue on.

If parking lots are available, pull into them, especially well lit ones at night time.

As soon as you pull over, turn all of your interior lights on, make sure your hands are visible (preferably on top of the wheel opened), have passengers put their hands in plain view as well. Wait for the officer to get there before reaching for registration or anything of that nature. I normally turn the car off as well, and already have both windows down.

"Yes/No sir" will get you far. Be polite, don't be an asshole.

I've been pulled over about 30 times and only have one ticket on my record, following these simple ideas have saved me many a time.

First ticket on my record was when I was 16, got caught doing 105 in a 55 with two friends doing hte same. Cops yelled at us for a long time, and bumped the tickets down to 70 in a 55 and then told us about doing a defensive driving program to get rid of the ticket.

Side story: At the defensive driving program, they tried to make you feel like the biggest piece of shit ever, and showed all these dead people from crashes and whatnot. They had a mom come in, she starts telling her story about how one of her son's favorite things to do was go out with his buddies, take their minivan take it to about 90mph and jump the railroad tracks.
I started laughing as soon as she said that and said something to the effect of "thats retarded."
She starts crying and said thats how her son died.
